Former Pakistani intelligence chief Hamid Gul: 9/11 "a mystery, an enigma"

Hamid Gul has long been a brave voice of 9/11 truth, voicing the view of 97% of Pakistanis that al-Qaeda did not do 9/11 as far back as September 26th, 2001. Some highlights from Gul's 2/18/2010 Al-Jazeera English interview:

"American intelligence has failed in the past as you see, weapons of mass destruction and 9/11. Osama Bin Laden has not even been charge-sheeted. So they don't have any solid information on him."

"(The Pakistani Taliban) have been armed, given money, financed, supported and trained from across the border in Afghanistan by hostile forces, among them Indian intelligence, Mossad is there--Israeli intelligence, the Afghan intelligence itself of the Kabul regime, and of course they have provided material by the Americans."

Asked about Bin Laden/Afghan involvement in 9/11:

"Where is the proof of that? Mullah Zaif himself came to me when he was Ambassador to Pakistan. He said 'we have offered to the Americans, why don't you try Osama bin Laden? We will produce him for you, but he has to be tried under the shariah law, not under the American law. First of all, we have no faith in American law. Like in Dr. Aafia Siddiqui's case. Who has faith in American law? Who creates Guantanamo Bays, Abu Ghraibs, and rendition camps and torture flights, etcetera? American law, as far as their own citizens are concerned, may be very good. But American law to be applied to other nationalities, other people, is absolutely wrong. Now in the case of Aafia Siddiqui for instance, the American law says a jury of her peers has to be there. There was a jury, none of which was a Muslim woman wearing a hijab. They cannot understand that being strip-searched is such an indignity to a Muslim woman...so how can that jury give the right verdict? So basically there are flaws in the laws. Besides, their point of view was, that George Bush had said that he wants Osama dead or alive. That means punishment had already been announced on him. He wants him dead or alive. And I know that this is what George Bush said. So they said, 'Like hell, we will not allow this to happen, because he has taken an oath of allegiance on the hand of Mullah Omar, and therefore from every point of view, from any angle of law, he's a citizen of Afghanistan. We shall not hand him over to American law.'"

"In the year 2000 they did not allow me (to visit the UK). That means they were planning at that time (the events of) 2001. 2001 in my opinion is a mystery, it's an enigma. It needs to be resolved. And this is a very basic question: Was it al-Qaeda who carried it out? Osama bin Laden is twice on record saying he didn't do that. Although he said 'I pray for the people who carried it out, but I didn't do it.' So that mystery is still to be resolved. Besides, the whole operation was planned in Hamburg, Germany. Why was Afghanistan attacked? So there are al-Qaeda groups now in France, the U.K., and everywhere else, so each of these countries must be attacked? I don't agree with this. This is totally wrong, the world community was fooled, they were coerced, they were arm-twisted into cooperating. And I think this is where the Americans went wrong."

One of the Democrats running for governor in Texas says he also has questions about the involvement of the U.S. government in the 9/11 attacks

AUSTIN (February 12, 2010)--

Democratic Texas gubernatorial candidate Farouk Shami said Friday that like his GOP counterpart Debra Medina, who later backtracked on her comments, he also has questions about the involvement of the U.S. government in the 9/11 terrorist attacks.

In an interview with Dallas television station WFAA, Shami said Friday "I'm not saying yes or no, because I don't know the truth."

"We still don't know who killed John F. Kennedy, who's behind it ... will we ever find the truth about 9/11?" Shami said.

Prominent Muslim scholar Shaikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi doubts Bin Laden did 9/11

"I ask Osama bin Laden to surrender and to hand himself over to an international tribunal in order to respond to the charge that he ordered the attacks of September 11," said al-Qaradawi in an interview with the Arab newspaper al-Sharq al-Awsat.

According to the well-known Muslim scholar, it is still not established "in a definitive way by the American secret services in their reports," of bin Laden's responsibility in the attacks that occurred in New York and Washington in 2001.

A. K. "Khalil" Dewdney, Ph.D., is Professor Emeritus in the Department of Computer Science at the University of Western Ontario. Well-known for his popular "Mathematical Recreations" column, which ran in Scientific American for more than eight years, he is also the author of several books, including The Armchair Universe and The Planiverse: Computer Contact with a Two-Dimensional World. Founder of Scientific Panel Investigating 9/11 (SPINE) and co-founder of Muslims for 9/11 Truth, he is well known in the 9/11 truth-seeking community for his Project Achilles experiments showing that the reported cell phone calls from the allegedly hijacked airliners on 9/11 cannot have been genuine.

Dr. Faiz Khan is a co-founder of the Muslim-Jewish-Christian Alliance for 9/11 Truth and a contributor to 9/11 and American Empire: Christians, Jews, and Muslims Speak Out. He has spoken at various 9/11 truth events including the seminal 2006 Chicago conference.

Dr. Khan is a medical doctor who practices and holds dual board specialization in two of the broadest fields within modern medicine – Emergency and Internal medicine. He is Vice Chairman / Head of Academic Affairs of Emergency Medicine at Nassau University Medical Center, and holds professorships in both specialties. His areas of expertise include diagnostic reasoning and epistemology, critical care, and medical ethics, and he serves as chairman of the medical ethics committee. Muhammad Abdullah is a Southern California 9/11 truth activist. He is a Marine Corps veteran whose patriotism was deeply offended by the 9/11 inside job, and who decided to do something about it, as suggested by the hadith:

"When any one of you sees anything that is disapproved (of by Allah), let him change it with his hand. If he is not able to do so, then let him change it with his tongue. And if he is not able to do so, then let him change it with his heart, though that is the weakest (kind of) faith."

Muhammed Abdullah has been conducting street actions on a weekly basis for more than two years. In spring 2009 he became the target of an attempted restraining order by the Pomona Police Department due to his peaceful demonstrations outside the building, which garnered many "thumbs-up" signs from rank-and-file cops. The Department failed to win a restraining order as Abdullah agreed to remain a certain distance away from police headquarters. Then in September 2009, Abdullah's home was raided by an apparent Department of Homeland Security team, who confiscated his computer and harassed him with questions about his political views.

Dr. Kevin Barrett is the co-founder and acting coordinator of Muslims for 9/11 Truth. He is the author of three books including the brand-new Questioning the War on Terror: A Primer for Obama Voters, which deconstructs the "war on terror" through Socratic questioning. A Ph.D. Arabist-Islamologist, he has taught languages, literature, humanities, religious studies, and folklore at colleges and universities in the U.S. and abroad.

Blacklisted from teaching at the University of Wisconsin since 2006, Dr. Barrett has recently worked as a talk radio host, author, public speaker, and congressional candidate. Dr. Anab (Bill) Whitehouse graduated with honors from Harvard University, and completed a Ph.D. program in Educational Theory at the University of Toronto. He became a Muslim and stepped onto the Sufi path at the same time, back in 1973, at the hands of his shaykh, Dr. M. Qadeer Baig. He is the author of many books including The Essence of September 11th.

First Muslim in Congress compares 9/11 to Reichstag Fire - then takes it back

Has Keith Ellison sold out to the Zionist lobby? From the Daily Telegraph's Bush Like Hitler, Says First Muslim in Congress:

Addressing a gathering of atheists in his home state of Minnesota, Keith Ellison, a Democrat, compared the 9/11 atrocities to the destruction of the Reichstag, the German parliament, in 1933. This was probably burned down by the Nazis in order to justify Hitler's later seizure of emergency powers.

"It's almost like the Reichstag fire, kind of reminds me of that," Mr Ellison said. "After the Reichstag was burned, they blamed the Communists for it, and it put the leader [Hitler] of that country in a position where he could basically have authority to do whatever he wanted."

To applause from his audience of 300 members of Atheists for Human Rights, Mr Ellison said he would not accuse the Bush administration of planning 9/11 because "you know, that's how they put you in the nut-ball box - dismiss you".

Vice-President Dick Cheney's stance of refusing to answer some questions from Congress was "the very definition of totalitarianism, authoritarianism and dictatorship", he added.
