Can American Muslims Talk About 9/11?

While many Americans of various faiths have opposed the U.S. government’s domestic and international “War on Terror,” American Muslims who have expressed their criticisms and doubts about these policies have often had their loyalty questioned.

Many Americans wonder why a large number of American Muslims oppose monitoring mosques and Muslim charities, phone wiretapping and airport profiling. Is it because American Muslims are unwilling to tolerate any personal inconvenience or intrusion on their privacy, even if it makes the country safer? Is it because American Muslims sympathize with terrorists, and they don’t want terror plots disrupted?

And many Americans wonder why many American Muslims opposed the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq. Is it because American Muslims put the safety of their fellow Muslims in Afghanistan and Iraq over the safety of their fellow Americans here at home? Is it because American Muslims want al-Qaeda to have bases it can use to strike America again?

It’s true that American Muslims care about their privacy and about Muslims overseas. But it’s also true that they don’t want to see America attacked, because America has given them freedom of speech, religious freedom, and the opportunity to make a living and take care of their families. In addition, the safety of American Muslims is intertwined with the safety of their American neighbors; American Muslims don’t want their families and friends to be blown up, which would happen if there are future attacks in the US. Furthermore, they don’t want to be victims of a backlash (discrimination, hate crimes, and restrictions on civil liberties), which would certainly follow future attacks in the US.

So why do so many American Muslims oppose U.S. government policies described as preventive measures against attacks on the US by perpretators portrayed as Muslims?

It’s simple. Many Muslims in America don’t believe that any Muslims were involved in the 9/11 attacks. A 2007 Pew Research Center study found that 60 percent of Muslims in America are not convinced that Arabs were involved in 9/11; 40 percent do believe Arabs were involved. Pew confirmed the findings of a poll, conducted on the fifth anniversary of 9/11, at the Islamic Society of North America’s (ISNA) annual convention, which found that 62 percent of American Muslims are not convinced that Muslims were involved in 9/11; 38 percent do believe Muslims were involved. A 2002 Hamilton College/Zogby International poll of Muslims (citizens and non-citizens) living in America found that 66% are not convinced that Al Qaeda carried out the 9/11 attacks; 34% said Al Qaeda carried out the 9/11 attacks.

The poll at the ISNA convention also showed that most American Muslims are unconvinced that al-Qaeda is a real organization, operated by Muslims who are trying to attack America. (And the poll showed that most American Muslims are unconvinced that Muslims committed the July 2005 train and bus bombings in London.)

Many also believe that alleged plots discovered since 9/11 were set-ups by government informants, entrapping Muslims who posed no real threat to America. For example, skeptical Muslims cite the case of Shahawar Matin Siraj, who was found guilty of conspiring to blow up a NY subway station. Siraj claimed that he was entrapped by a Muslim informant, Osama Eldawoody, who was being paid by the NYPD. Siraj said the informant suggested the plot and incited him to act by showing him pictures of Muslims overseas being mistreated and by saying he had received a fatwa allowing Muslims to kill American troops. Wary Muslims also cite the case of Hamid Hayat, who was convicted of providing material support to terrorists by attending a terrorist training camp in Pakistan. Hayat claimed he was entrapped by a Muslim informant, Naseem Khan, who was being paid by the federal government. The informant encouraged Hayat to talk about fighting America, encouraged Hayat to attend a terrorist training camp, and cursed at Hayat when Hayat said he hadn’t yet attended the camp.

If Muslims weren’t involved in 9/11 or other plots, many American Muslims argue, there’s no need for the government to watch mosques, wiretap Muslim calls, or profile Muslims at airports. There’s no need for the government to torture alleged Muslim terrorists. And there was no need to invade Afghanistan and Iraq.

The Pew study found that 74 percent of Muslims in America don’t believe America’s “War on Terror” is a sincere effort to reduce international terrorism. The poll at the ISNA convention showed that 68 percent of American Muslims believe the American government is at war with the religion of Islam.

American Muslims hesitate to publicly discuss their views regarding what really happened on 9/11, because they fear being further isolated and marginalized; after all, mainstream media and political leaders tend to mock anyone who questions the official 9/11 story. American Muslims also fear the government will investigate them if they speak out. (Pew found most Muslims in America say life has become more difficult for their community since 9/11, and most believe the government singles out Muslims for scrutiny.)

In private discussions in mosques and Muslim homes, American Muslims often argue that no “real Muslim” would have carried out such attacks against civilians. Furthermore, they say, the 19 young Muslims accused of being the hijackers could not have pulled it off. They could not have snuck knives onto four planes, successfully hijacked four planes using just those knives, and then flown three of the planes — unchallenged by US air defenses — into three buildings including the military headquarters of the US. Many American Muslims believe someone else, someone better connected, hijacked the planes, or that the planes were crashed into buildings by remote control. They also believe the World Trade Center was ultimately brought down by explosives.

The poll at the ISNA convention showed that most American Muslims believe the US government had advance knowledge of the 9/11 attacks and allowed the attacks to occur. The poll also found American Muslims almost evenly divided about whether the US government actually organized the 9/11 attacks, and also about whether the tapes of Osama bin Laden — claiming responsibility for the 9/11 attacks and threatening future attacks — are real or fake.

Angered by the American government’s perceived political and religious hostility towards Islam and Muslims before and after 9/11, skeptical American Muslims believe the government allowed 9/11 (or orchestrated 9/11) to justify greater domestic control over Muslims and invasions of Muslim countries.

This belief that the US government framed Muslims on 9/11 in order to justify further oppression of Muslims (including shutting down major American Muslim charities which used to benefit the poor in the Muslim world, and high-profile prosecutions of Muslims like Captain James Yusuf Yee who was wrongly accused of spying), creates significant tension and depression in the American Muslim community at the grassroots.

While the general public has never been polled about whether Muslims were involved in the attacks, many Americans have questions about 9/11. A 2004 Zogby International poll showed that 49 percent of New York City residents (whose city was attacked on 9/11) and 49 percent of New York State residents believe the US government had advance knowledge of the 9/11 attacks and allowed the attacks to occur.

A 2006 Zogby International poll showed that 42 percent of Americans believe that the US government and the 9/11 Commission concealed or refused to investigate critical evidence about 9/11, and 45 percent of Americans want Congress to re-investigate the attacks and whether any US government officials allowed the attacks. Ironically, few American Muslims are actively involved in the growing, self-proclaimed “9/11 Truth Movement.”

A 2006 Scripps Howard/Ohio University poll showed that thirty-six percent of Americans believe it is “very likely” or “somewhat likely” that federal officials either participated in the attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon or took no action to stop them “because they wanted the United States to go to war in the Middle East.”

Does it matter that so many American Muslims, and other Americans, have such basic questions about such a significant event? Should the rest of the country care?

Our country generally marginalizes conspiracy theorists who reject the official story about any national tragedy, like the assassination of JFK.

So should America just write most American Muslims off as a bunch of kooks?

That would be risky.

After all, American Muslims are an important community when it comes to the “War on Terror.” Government officials often speak about the need for American Muslims to monitor their community and mosques for suspicious activity. And American Muslims can serve as an important bridge between America and the Muslim world, where anti-Americanism is growing. So it’s in America’s interest for American Muslims to feel like they are part of the American family, rather than outsiders.

But is there any common ground between American Muslims and other Americans on security issues? Is there any reason to think that American Muslims might be inclined to help protect America? Or are American Muslims innately hostile to America for religious and political reasons? Pew found that 61 percent of Muslims in America are very concerned or somewhat concerned about the possible rise of Islamic extremism in the US, and 76 percent are very concerned or somewhat concerned about the possible rise of Islamic extremism around the world. In addition, the poll at the ISNA convention found that the vast majority of American Muslims oppose attacks within the US, and they would report plots if they learned about them.

If these American Muslims had believed that some Muslims were involved in 9/11, and if they had believed that there are some Muslims who continue to pose a genuine threat to everyone in America (including a threat to American Muslims), they may have actively supported some domestic and international security efforts after 9/11.

To bridge the gap between American Muslims and other Americans, Muslim organizations (local mosques as well as national organizations) around the country can provide public forums encouraging American Muslims to openly discuss 9/11. Thus far, these organizations — concerned about political correctness and fearful of government investigations of those who take unpopular views — haven’t facilitated such discussions.

Why would American Muslim groups benefit from hosting such discussions? Depending on these Muslim organizations’ perspectives, such discussions would either help American Muslims understand the truth about what really happened on 9/11, or such discussions would help the rest of America understand the truth about what really happened on 9/11. Such discussions would also be good for the mental health of many American Muslims, who keep their tensions hidden.

Of course, fearful American Muslim organizations will not take these steps unless the mainstream media and political leaders permit a safe space for discussion about these issues without marginalizing doubters as “kooks” or investigating them. The mainstream needs to “legitimize” the discussion for it to occur.

So what would these discussions, facilitated by Muslim institutions, involve? The same thing that segments of the country have already been discussing since 9/11.

For one thing, American Muslims (like many other Americans) need a history lesson. Many American Muslims are not well informed about the history of al-Qaeda and various attacks and plots around the world before 9/11. They don’t know about statements issued by al-Qaeda listing its grievances regarding American foreign policy. Nor are they familiar with the violent history of “jihadis” like Ayman al-Zawahiri. Many American Muslims had never heard of al-Qaeda, Osama bin Ladin, or Zawahiri before 9/11. So it looked to many American Muslims like 9/11 came out of the blue, and it looked to many American Muslims like the US government had simply created a Muslim bogeyman. Second, American Muslims need forums where they can raise all their technical and logistical concerns about 9/11, and get their questions answered. How did fires high above the ground cause the massive World Trade Center Towers to collapse? Why was the hole in the Pentagon wall apparently so small, and why is there no clear video footage of a plane hitting the building? Why didn’t fighter jets intercept any of the hijacked planes? Of course, many Americans have been publicly discussing these issues since 9/11, but American Muslims and their institutions have stayed out of these public discussions thus far.

Bringing these discussions into mosques and Muslim conventions will not erase all doubts. But it’s certainly much healthier for all doubts to be expressed openly rather than for them to be hidden, so that American Muslims can be exposed to various perspectives and new information. Regardless of how many minds are ultimately changed, American Muslims will feel more comfortable knowing their country is willing to hear them out. These discussions will be a useful outlet for letting out steam. And American Muslims may become more willing to go to bat for America, here and in the Muslim world.

And questions raised by American Muslims may encourage the country to further investigate nagging questions about 9/11, to help get the country on the same page.

Many other Americans may dislike the idea of letting unpopular American Muslims air their concerns about an issue as emotion-laden as 9/11. But it’s in America’s interest to bridge the gap between American Muslims and the rest of the country.

NOTE: Most Muslims living in the Muslim world are not convinced that Arabs were involved in the 9/11 attacks.

Was Anwar al-Awlaki murdered for telling the truth?

Though never charged with any crime, al-Awlaki, an innocent US citizen and a gifted scholar, was murdered by terrorists posing as US government operatives. (We know they're terrorists, not the government, because by definition the US government is constrained to follow the Constitution; so if they kill US citizens without trial, they're not the government any more.)

Then al-Awlaki's equally innocent child was also murdered.

The cowardly terrorist scum who murder people with predator drones have got to be the sorriest excuses for human beings that ever existed.

Anwar al-Awlaki, a hero and a martyr, was supposedly killed for insisting that Muslims, like all other peoples, have the right to defend themselves against aggression.

OBL’s Death: The Mystery Helicopter Crash

The helicopter crash at Abbottabad is akin to the fall of building 7 at New York.

The tail of US helicopter at Osama compound

The death of OBL added another layer of skepticism about the man whose whole life spiraled around dubious stories. Someone rightly said 'all information about bin Laden should be treated with a healthy dose of skepticism'. Even President Obama gave it a skeptical touch when he used the term 'remains' instead of 'body' in his breaking news announcement when he said 'the military took custody of his remains'. Skepticism reached its peak on the night he was supposedly killed in a compound in Abbottabad. Enough has been written on the subject in a short span of time. But in the whole episode, the crash of the helicopter was not given its due importance. All we heard was that one helicopter had crashed giving no details except that there were no casualties.

Its relevance to this incident is as important as the relevance of Building 7 to the "collapse" of the Twin Towers. As the answer to the collapse of the Twin Towers lies in the answer to the collapse of Building 7, similarly the crux of May 2nd episode is in the crash of the helicopter. Before coming to this point, let us see what the Americans didn't find in the compound where OBL supposedly lived.

We are told that he suffered from the following infirmities;

1), Chronic Renal disease; there have been CIA reports along with other identical reports that bin Laden required dialysis because of kidney disease. It was corroborated by President Pervez Musharraf in 2002.

2), Marfan Syndrome; reports also mention that he suffered from Marfan Syndrome which affects the heart valves.

3), Cardiomegaly (Enlarged heart); this condition was mentioned in a CIA report. It was most probably caused by the torn or diseased heart valves.

4), Diabetes, Hypotension (low blood pressure); A biography, published in Egypt in 1991 reported that OBL suffered from low blood pressure and diabetes. The report also mentioned he received insulin shots for diabetes.

5), Injuries: Throughout his life he received injuries to his toes, back, chest and neck. A video tape released in December 2001 showed intelligence officers saying “he had suffered a severe chest wound”. According to Katzman, “he wasn't able to move his arm much” because of a shrapnel wound. Time Magazine (July 1, 2002) mentioned “he probably suffers from secondary osteoporosis” There had been other reports confirming the injuries. That could have been the reason he used a walking stick.

With this track record he had to keep the relevant medicines and dialysis machine at home, especially the latter, to avoid risking been tracked down. On May 2, 2011, he was ambushed and supposedly killed at his home. A few days later, we were shown blood stained floors, furniture and one or two dead bodies. Mary Anne Weaver, the author of Pakistan: Deep Inside the World's Most Frightening State stated,'according to the intelligence people I've talked to in Washington, there was no evidence of a dialysis machine in the compound.' The exclusive video obtained by ABC News inside the compound also did not show any evidence of dialysis equipment. All the video showed was medication bottles containing petroleum jelly, eye drops, olive oil, sunflower oil, an antiseptic and a nasal spray. There were no pain killers or medicines for kidney disease, low blood pressure, diabetes or the other conditions he suffered from.

Does it mean that the Navy Seals did not do their job properly and failed to search all the rooms? That is unlikely given the training they have for such jobs. Not finding the medicines and dialysis machine opens questions about the validity of the "Osama's death" story. Secondly, the whole episode was allegedly shown live in the White House to President Obama and his team. We were told OBL's dead body was not shown because of the disfigurement. But they could have shown him just before he was shot to confirm that they had got him in the compound. Not showing 'a dead or alive' Osama in the compound created yet another wave of skepticism and raised a genuine question about whether OBL was in the compound. If he wasn't there, then where was he?

In February, 2004, Iranian state radio claimed, “Osama bin Laden was arrested a long time ago, but Bush is intending to use it for propaganda maneuvering in the presidential election.” According to another report Osama bin Laden died of kidney failure soon after the September 11, 2001 attacks. In 2002, the FBI’s top counter terrorism official, Dale Watson said, “I personally think he is probably not with us any more.” A Taliban leader told the Pakistan Observer on December 21, 2002, that Bin Laden died in mid-December in the vicinity of the Tora Bora mountains. The source claimed that bin Laden was laid to rest honourably in his last abode and his grave was left unmarked as per his Wahhabi belief. The same story was reported by Fox News. Alex Jones was told live on the radio in 2002 by high-level Council on Foreign Relations members that Osama Bin Laden had died of kidney failure in early 2002. According to, Benazir Bhutto Osama bin Laden had been killed by Ahmed Omar Saeed Sheikh. Another report stated that he died in an area near Tora Bora so remote that the best intelligence could not find him. Hundreds of reports from all over the world pointed towards his death. (See Dr. David Ray Griffin's book, Osama Bin Laden: Dead or Alive.) Had he been living, it would have been impossible not to track him down because of his chronic diseases and dialysis procedures. This point was rightly raised by Adil Najam, professor of international relations at Boston University who stated that 'the need for medical treatment could have made it easier for the Americans to track him down'.

With this background, the crash of the American helicopter becomes important for the following reasons;

The wreckage became a proof or a signature that it was an American operation confirming the death of already dead OBL.
Without the wreckage the operation could have been taken as Pak army's.
The wreckage distanced Pak army/ISI from the operation to degrade army/ISI and upgrade Navy Seals.
The wreckage brought down the image of army/ISI (one of the objectives of CIA) in the eyes of the public.
The wreckage must have had blood from injuries of the pilots and other occupants if it was a real crash.

The army experts who took away the wreckage must have found the cause of the crash and the evidence of blood etc using forensic techniques.

They must have found the evidence whether the helicopter was brought down deliberately by the Americans, as we know that except for its tail section the rest was destroyed by the Seals.

Finally, each of the two UH-60 Black Hawks used for the attack can carry 11 troops with equipment and lift 2,600 lb (1,170 kg) of cargo internally. How were the occupants of two helicopters evacuated by one helicopter unless the crashed helicopter was empty and the crash landing was part of the plan.

We saw that the Americans moved fast to collect the wreckage 'fearing' that Pakistan might let Chinese examine it and expose its stealth technology. But there could be other reason than technology falling in wrong hands. To me the helicopter crash at Abbottabad is akin to the fall of building 7 at New York.

The Zionist-dominated corporate media is in full panic mode after Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has once again drawn applause from the majority of UN delegates for demanding an inquiry into the "mystery" of 9/11.

The evil clowns of the London Daily Mail, which like the vast majority of anglo-American big media outlets is owned by members or allies of the Zionist criminal syndicate implicated in the 9/11 attacks, lashed out at the Iranian President in abject fear: "What a clown! U.S. delegation walks out of UN speech by Iranian president Ahmadinejad as he comes to NY and calls 9/11 'a mystery' ." The unintentionally humorous headline appears to be calling the head of the US delegation a "clown" for walking out on a speech that was cheered by nearly all the other delegates.

Ahmadinejad has repeatedly called on the UN to investigate 9/11, and has received standing ovations from the vast majority of UN delegates for doing so. International law experts including the UN's own Richard Falk agree that Ahmadinejad is right in demanding a new investigation of 9/11.

On the tenth anniversary of 9/11, he said: "The September 11 (attacks) were actually a planned game to provoke the human community's sentiments and find an excuse for launching attack on Muslim regions and occupying Iraq and Afghanistan, which led to the massacre of one million innocent people."

Originally, I was not planning on writing a 9/11 article. Why not treat 9/11 the way Americans treat Hiroshima Day? Nobody cares that the US incinerated an entire city in Japan, it was not just one building. Let's be fair. On 9/11, between 2,000 and 3,000 people perished according to varying reports. Only God knows if they were innocent or not. Some of them probably beat their wives or bought lottery tickets. Anyway they were non-combatants, who are protected in war by moral standards. I knew someone who was working in the banking industry in the World Trade Center. He was a Muslim. But I never understood why he would work at a bank, let alone at America's Ribaa Center. I feel horribly for his family. No matter who bombed the World Trade Center in New York, Allah willed it though. He willed all of those people killed, the same way He willed you to lose your wallet one day. Maybe you underestimated your Zakat. Maybe your reaction of alhamdulillah will protect your future losses and gains.

Nobody who ever met Osama bin Laden ever said a bad word about him. Therefore I am inclined to disbelieve ongoing news reports that he was connected to 9/11. Just before the Americans started bombing Afghanistan, the US told the Taliban to hand over bin Laden. The Taliban said if he had committed such a crime, they would be happy to hand him over since according to Islam, the targeting of non-combatants is illegal. What was the evidence that bin Laden had committed the crime, they asked? The US refused to answer. We just mass murdered thousands of starving people for no apparent reason. Same as Iraq. The US just decided that certain people shouldn't have food.

I'm sorry my fellow travelers, but that's just Satanic. An illiterate could see this. The Salafis held the American flag high totally clueless while Shias blamed the Salafis for 9/11, also waving the American flag. Hello? Can we just get something straight? Muslims don't fight like 9/11. The WTC attack was a made-for-TV event. It was seized by all the networks to promote an agenda. They said they knew who did it within 30 seconds of the first report and yet ten years later, they have not produced a shred of evidence. Muslims don't do one-time, glamorous, perfectly photographed at every angle events!

9/11 cannot be considered as part of any jihad right or wrong, for the simple reason that it was clearly a symbolic show of smoke and flames and not an act of an ongoing war. When Muslims fight a war, they don't mess around with one-time events. If there was an Islamic Jihad in America, people would be dying every day. If there was such thing as al-Qaeda declaring war on the US the way the Taliban declared war on the Soviet Union, five to six policemen would die a day. Civilians would rarely be targeted. But the death toll would be steady, small, and relentless. Not a week would go by when the Muslims didn't hurt you so deep by targeting your men in uniform on your own soil. Muslims fight to win.

If Muslims had declared war on the US and they had truly committed 9/11, don't you think they would have capitalized on that event? They would have followed that explosion with another explosion and another one after that, if they had that much money and power. Not. The Muslims' main claim to fame is the car bomb. How come there are no car bombs going off every few days in America like in most Muslim countries? How come I got some pizza at Sbarro's no problem? Why is Boston's World Trade Center still standing?

9/11 was not committed by any extremist Muslims on an anti-American Crusade. If they were, we'd have heard about follow up explosions on 9/12, 9/13, and every week including this week just like Palestine or Pakistan just between political parties. Look at every war involving Muslims. It just goes on and on and on with agonizing detail. One person at a time is targeted and the person who shot him may or may not get away unharmed. To say that 9/11 bears any characteristics of Islamic warfare is a JOKE. At no time in history have Muslims ever created one single successful attack staged for television that ruined a nation. They never ever got all TV stations to agree who did it within 30 seconds of their grandiose measure. This is absurdity! If the Muslims could do this, why are they not doing it every week? They would have their own station just for terrorizing skittish Americans with 9/11 footage around the clock. They don't.

9/11 was a mass murder for which no perpetrator has ever been convicted. No one has ever had a fair trial and answered our questions. It has never happened. There are people on Wall Street who know why.

Western corporate media are imposing a near-blackout on the Taliban's official statement commemorating the tenth anniversary of 9/11. The reason: The Taliban are calling 9/11 a "pretext" and calling for a new investigation of the "dubious" events of that day.

CNN offered a very brief account, censoring the call for a new investigation: Taliban: U.S. using 9/11 attacks as pretext for Muslim violence. But most other Western media ignored the historic statement. Stories initially reporting the statement were quickly scrubbed from Western media websites. The print edition of the St. Paul (MN) Pioneer Press carried a reference to the Taliban call for a new 9/11 investigation, attributed to wire services, but it was removed from the on-line edition. It apparently can no longer be found on any US corporate media website.

About 3,000 people were killed in the attacks on the Pentagon and the World Trade Centre in New York on the morning of September 11, 2001 when 19 hijackers took control of four commercial airliners en route to San Francisco and Los Angeles.

Five hijackers crashed American Airlines Flight 11 into the World Trade Centre's North Tower and another five hit the South Tower with the United Airlines Flight 175.

Following resistance from passengers, several hijackers flew American Airlines Flight 77 into the Pentagon, with a fourth plane crashed near Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

The US invaded Afghanistan a month later, blaming the Al Qaeda and Taliban for the assaults on the centres of its military and economic might. Ten years on, the war in the impoverished Central Asian continues.

Zabihullah Mujahid, a Taliban spokesman, said the movement had long been seeking a neutral probe into the incident. "But the US and its allies are responding to our logical demand with airstrikes and attacks."

The killing of tens of thousands of innocent Afghans on the pretext of avenging the 9/11 attacks would be a perpetual question mark over Western democracy, Mujahid said in a statement.

He urged the countries involved in the conflict to mount pressure on the US not to plunder Afghanistan's natural resources under the garb of the war on terrorism.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the attacks were a "complicated, designed game" to affect people's emotions and pave way for the invasions of Afghanistan and Iraq.

The Iranian leader has repeatedly questioned the official version of the events surrounding the Sept. 11 attacks, calling it a "big lie."

In 2010, New York turned down his request to visit the World Trade Center site to pay respects to the victims of the terrorist attacks.

Meanwhile, Supporters of an Islamist political party in Pakistan have used the anniversary of the September 11 attacks to stage anti-American protests.
In Islamabad, about 100 people chanted and held up banners that repeated conspiracy theories alleging American or Israeli involvement in the attacks.

Such theories have been commonly aired among Islamists and militant sympathizers since the attacks in 2001.

A smaller demonstration also took place in the central Punjabi city of Multan.

Both demonstrations were organized by Jamat-e-Islami, the country's largest Islamist political party.

In a post published in his personal blog chedet on Friday, former Malaysian prime minister said that the attacks on the World Trade Center in downtown Manhattan, New York City, and the Pentagon in Arlington, Virginia, could not have been carried out by Muslims. The acts of violence could have rather been the work of other groups.

The Malaysian politician pointed out that “for some Americans, the deaths of nearly 3,000 people was not the scariest thing about 9/11. It was realizing who carried out the attack: yes, the American Government.”

Mohamad said although Arab Muslims are angry enough to sacrifice their lives and become bombers, they are not capable of planning and strategizing attacks similar to the 9/11 ones.

“The planning [for the 9/11 attacks] must have taken a considerable length of time. The candidates had to learn to fly in tiny aircrafts…. Planning to hijack four aircraft simultaneously would require great precision in timing and logistics. One aircraft maybe. But four simultaneously!! I don't think extremists from Saudi Arabia can carry out this highly sophisticated operation with such success,” former Malaysian prime minister commented.

Turning to the collapse of the World Trade Center twin towers, he said, “They came down nicely upon themselves without toppling against the other buildings close by. It looks more like planned demolition of buildings than collapse consequent upon being hit by aircraft.”

Mohamad stated, “A third building also collapsed in the same fashion; although it was not hit by any aircraft. What is the explanation for this untouched building, which collapsed upon itself and did not damage other buildings nearby?”

He also questioned the total disappearance of the aircraft, which hit the Pentagon building in Arlington, Virginia. “There was no debris of any kind, no broken parts of the aircraft, no black box, and no human bodies flung into the surroundings. Is it possible for an aircraft to vaporize totally after a crash?” former Malaysian prime minister said.

Mohamad further raised questions over the loss of the fourth aircraft, which was supposed to have crashed in an open field. “Again no sign of any debris. No big crater. Did it vaporize into nothingness? Did the innocent passengers also vaporize?” he stated.

The Malaysian politician noted that the American press was strangely silent about 9/11 attacks.

He also emphasized that Bush is the one that lied about Saddam's weapons of mass destruction. “The legacy of the former US president is that two countries (Iraq and Afghanistan) have been devastated, and fratricidal wars have become endemic. Hundreds of thousands of Iraqis, Afghans and a few thousand of young American soldiers have died. Thousands more are wounded, maimed for life, and suffering from mental breakdowns,” Mohamad pointed out.

Former Malaysian prime minister also said that human lives do not seem to mean much to the former US president.

Perhaps while rushing to “finish” the recitation of the Holy Qur'an in this month for nourishing the starved soul, the hunger in the stomach from not eating all day will be matched with a hunger in the intellect for not thinking at all. Islam: Surah Al-Asr of the Holy Qur'an

By the declining day, (1)

وَالعَصرِ‏

Lo! man is in a state of loss (2)

اِنَّ الاِنسَانَ لَفِى خُسرٍ‏

Save those who believe,

and do good works,

and strive for “haq” (truth),

and are patient (3)

اِلَّا الَّذِينَ اٰمَنُوا

وَ عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ

وَتَوَاصَوا بِالحَقِّ

وَتَوَاصَوا بِالصَّبرِ

The logic of the verses 2-3 is the AND conjunctive clause. Meaning, a concatenation of conditions joined by the AND clause (Arabic وَ ). Every one of the listed conditions in such a statement has to be individually true in order for the overall statement to be true. Otherwise the statement is false.

Meaning:

It doesn't matter how many prayers one offered and how many Hajj one performed to “believe” ( اٰمَنُوا );

or how many hungry mouths one fed, how many hospitals and schools one built, and how honestly one earned one's income and paid one's zakat to do “good works” ( عَمِلُوا الصّٰلِحٰتِ ) ;

if one didn't strive to oppose falsehoods and uphold “haq" (truth) ( حَقّ ), the life, even if otherwise piously and well-lived, is still one of “loss” ( خُسرٍ ).

I am not making this up. That's what the Holy Qur'an itself states, unequivocally – reflect on it yourself while further recalling the admonishment of the Author of the Book of Reflection:

'That this is indeed a Qur'an Most Honourable, In a Book well-guarded, Which none shall touch but those who are clean: A Revelation from the Lord of the Worlds. Is it such a Message that ye would hold in light esteem?' Holy Qur'an, Surah Al-Waqia, 56:77-81

Witness that the hardest thing to do in modern life is to stand up to oppression and tyranny ( وَتَوَاصَوا بِالحَقِّ ). And also to be patient in adversity when one is experiencing the jackboots of the new Nazis upon one's neck ( وَتَوَاصَوا بِالصَّبرِ ).

Whereas the easiest thing to do is to sit in a mosque, and/or to feed the hungry in atonement of a guilty conscience.

We already see what the pious Muslims worldwide tend to excel in. We pay our zakat on time, pray our namaz on time, and keep our fasts on time. Many among the oppressed are also incredibly patient in affliction. Indeed, we are so patient that we oft proclaim “Allah chala raha hai” (God is running the world), “Allah malik hai” (God is our provider), and often cry ourselves to sleep with utmost sabr (patience), repeating to ourselves with quivering lips and glistening eyes: “hasbun allahu wa naimal wakeel” (Allah is sufficient for us and most excellent is the Protector Arabic: حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ Holy Qur'an, Surah Al-e-Imran 3:173).

According to the testimony of Surah Al-Asr, take it any which you want, the fact remains that most of us are still in خُسرٍ unless we stand up to oppression and unequivocally affirm حَقّ to the best of our capacities. Silence and acquiescence to tyranny seems to be the antithesis to ( وَتَوَاصَوا بِالحَقِّ ). That seems to be the modus vivendi of the majority of Muslims today.

The crafting of that antithesis evidently has also come about courtesy of the imperial scholars subverting the meaning of the religion of Islam in the service of tyrants and kings throughout the ages, modernity being no exception. Language being its first corrupter. Thus, وَتَوَاصَوا بِالحَقِّ has been reduced to some nonsensical gibberish by the pious turbaned man on the pulpit to mean: just talk about it with utmost earnestness while occupying oneself in the mosque. Witness the 600-page one-sided Fatwa on Terrorism by the vaunted “scholar of Islam”, the posterboy of “moderate Islam”.

Liberating the meaning of the religion of Islam from the clutches of the so called scholars and jurists among Muslims is only as difficult as the uncongeniality of pondering the message of the Holy Qur'an directly, with one's own head and commonsense, rather than merely mouthing its melodic and soothing words which no doubt are magic to the soul.

But at the end of the day, only Allah is the final Judge of the extent to which we each did our own due diligence given our respective trials and tribulations, our bounties and blessings, on all four criterion for a life which only It shall Deem as “not in a state of loss”!

According to this data, there were more Jewish acts of terrorism within the United States than Islamic (7% vs 6%). These radical Jews committed acts of terrorism in the name of their religion. The omnipotence of Al Qaeda and meaninglessness of "Terrorism"

For much of the day yesterday, the featured headline on The New York Times online front page strongly suggested that Muslims were responsible for the attacks on Oslo; that led to definitive statements on the BBC and elsewhere that Muslims were the culprits. The Washington Post's Jennifer Rubin wrote a whole column based on the assertion that Muslims were responsible, one that, as James Fallows notes, remains at the Post with no corrections or updates. The morning statement issued by President Obama -- "It's a reminder that the entire international community holds a stake in preventing this kind of terror from occurring" and "we have to work cooperatively together both on intelligence and in terms of prevention of these kinds of horrible attacks" -- appeared to assume, though (to its credit) did not overtly state, that the perpetrator was an international terrorist group.

But now it turns out that the alleged perpetrator wasn't from an international Muslim extremist group at all, but was rather a right-wing Norwegian nationalist with a history of anti-Muslim commentary and an affection for Muslim-hating blogs such as Pam Geller's Atlas Shrugged, Daniel Pipes, and Robert Spencer's Jihad Watch. Despite that, The New York Times is still working hard to pin some form of blame, even ultimate blame, on Muslim radicals (h/t sysprog):

Terrorism specialists said that even if the authorities ultimately ruled out Islamic terrorism as the cause of Friday’s assaults, other kinds of groups or individuals were mimicking Al Qaeda's brutality and multiple attacks.

"If it does turn out to be someone with more political motivations, it shows these groups are learning from what they see from Al Qaeda," said Brian Fishman, a counterterrorism researcher at the New America Foundation in Washington.

Al Qaeda is always to blame, even when it isn't, even when it's allegedly the work of a Nordic, Muslim-hating, right-wing European nationalist. Of course, before Al Qaeda, nobody ever thought to detonate bombs in government buildings or go on indiscriminate, politically motivated shooting rampages. The NYT speculates that amonium nitrate fertilizer may have been used to make the bomb because the suspect, Anders Behring Breivik, owned a farming-related business and thus could have access to that material; of course nobody would have ever thought of using that substance to make a massive bomb had it not been for Al Qaeda. So all this proves once again what a menacing threat radical Islam is.

Then there's this extraordinarily revealing passage from the NYT -- first noticed by Richard Silverstein -- explaining why the paper originally reported what it did:

Initial reports focused on the possibility of Islamic militants, in particular Ansar al-Jihad al-Alami, or Helpers of the Global Jihad, cited by some analysts as claiming responsibility for the attacks. American officials said the group was previously unknown and might not even exist.

There was ample reason for concern that terrorists might be responsible.

In other words, now that we know the alleged perpetrator is not Muslim, we know -- by definition -- that Terrorists are not responsible; conversely, when we thought Muslims were responsible, that meant -- also by definition -- that it was an act of Terrorism. As Silverstein put it:

How's that again? Are the only terrorists in the world Muslim? If so, what do we call a right-wing nationalist capable of planting major bombs and mowing down scores of people for the sake of the greater glory of his cause? If even a liberal newspaper like the Times can't call this guy a terrorist, what does that say about the mindset of the western world?

What it says is what we've seen repeatedly: that Terrorism has no objective meaning and, at least in American political discourse, has come functionally to mean: violence committed by Muslims whom the West dislikes, no matter the cause or the target. Indeed, in many (though not all) media circles, discussion of the Oslo attack quickly morphed from this is Terrorism (when it was believed Muslims did it) to no, this isn't Terrorism, just extremism (once it became likely that Muslims didn't). As Maz Hussain -- whose lengthy Twitter commentary on this event yesterday was superb and well worth reading -- put it:

That Terrorism means nothing more than violence committed by Muslims whom the West dislikes has been proven repeatedly. When an airplane was flown into an IRS building in Austin, Texas, it was immediately proclaimed to be Terrorism, until it was revealed that the attacker was a white, non-Muslim, American anti-tax advocate with a series of domestic political grievances. The U.S. and its allies can, by definition, never commit Terrorism even when it is beyond question that the purpose of their violence is to terrorize civilian populations into submission. Conversely, Muslims who attack purely military targets -- even if the target is an invading army in their own countries -- are, by definition, Terrorists. That is why, as NYU's Remi Brulin has extensively documented, Terrorism is the most meaningless, and therefore the most manipulated, word in the English language. Yesterday provided yet another sterling example.

One last question: if, as preliminary evidence suggests, it turns out that Breivik was "inspired" by the extremist hatemongering rantings of Geller, Pipes and friends, will their groups be deemed Terrorist organizations such that any involvement with them could constitute the criminal offense of material support to Terrorism? Will those extremist polemicists inspiring Terrorist violence receive the Anwar Awlaki treatment of being put on an assassination hit list without due process? Will tall, blond, Nordic-looking males now receive extra scrutiny at airports and other locales, and will those having any involvement with those right-wing, Muslim-hating groups be secretly placed on no-fly lists? Or are those oppressive, extremist, lawless measures -- like the word Terrorism -- also reserved exclusively for Muslims?

UPDATE: The original version of the NYT article was even worse in this regard. As several people noted, here is what the article originally said (papers that carry NYT articles still have the original version):

Terrorism specialists said that even if the authorities ultimately ruled out terrorism as the cause of Friday's assaults, other kinds of groups or individuals were mimicking al-Qaida's signature brutality and multiple attacks.

Thus: if it turns out that the perpetrators weren't Muslim (but rather "someone with more political motivations" -- whatever that means: it presumably rests on the inane notion that Islamic radicals are motivated by religion, not political grievances), then it means that Terrorism, by definition, would be "ruled out" (one might think that the more politically-motivated an act of violence is, the more deserving it is of the Terrorism label, but this just proves that the defining feature of the word Terrorism is Muslim violence). The final version of the NYT article inserted the word "Islamic" before "terrorism" ("even if the authorities ultimately ruled out Islamic terrorism as the cause"), but -- as demonstrated above -- still preserved the necessary inference that only Muslims can be Terrorists. Meanwhile, in the world of reality, of 294 Terrorist attacks attempted or executed on European soil in 2009 as counted by the EU, a grand total of one -- 1 out of 294 -- was perpetrated by "Islamists."

UPDATE II: This article expertly traces and sets forth exactly how the "Muslims-did-it" myth was manufactured and then disseminated yesterday to the worldwide media, which predictably repeated it with little skepticism. What makes the article so valuable is that it names names: it points to the incestuous, self-regarding network of self-proclaimed U.S. Terrorism and foreign policy "experts" -- what the article accurately describes as "almost always white men and very often with military or government backgrounds," in this instance driven by "a case of an elite fanboy wanting to be the first to pass on leaked gadget specs" -- who so often shape these media stories and are uncritically presented as experts, even though they're drowning in bias, nationalism, ignorance, and shallow credentialism.

Editor's note: A Scripps poll shows that 36% of Americans -- meaning more than 100 million of them -- believe that it is "likely" that US government insiders staged the 9/11 attacks as a pretext for war. There is enough evidence to conclude that the US has been able infiltrate the loosely structured Taliban to cause chaos in Pakistan. This was further confirmed by [Central Intelligence Agency operative] Raymond Davis’ links with militant organizations. Hizb ut-Tahrir (HuT), or the Liberation Party, was founded in 1953 in Jerusalem. The party advocates the politics of pan-Islam by calling for the re-establishment of the Islamic caliphate.

Hizb ut-Tahrir is active in most Muslim countries in addition to Western Europe, North America and Australia. Since the targeted assassination of al-Qaeda leader Osama bin Laden by United States special forces in Pakistan in early May (sic), the Pakistani chapter of HuT has come under increasing media and security attention because of its alleged penetration of the higher reaches of the powerful Pakistani military establishment.

To investigate this issue further, Asia Times Online conducted an exclusive interview with Hizb ut-Tahrir’s spokesman in Pakistan, Naveed Butt.

Butt grew up in Islamabad and began his degree at the University of Engineering and Technology in Lahore before transferring to the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he completed a degree in electrical engineering and computer science. "On September the 11th, the United States was attacked. We know from eyewitnesses that there were two aircraft that struck the Twin Towers in Lower Manhattan. And it could be that the aircraft themselves caused the buildings to collapse. It could also be that they got some help from some dynamite that was planted in them before.

"We know from eyewitnesses that there was a third aircraft which crashed in Pennsylvania. And no less an authority than the White House itself confirmed that the plan was for that aircraft to target Air Force One and to target the White House. And we have unconfirmed reports, because no-one saw (the crash) and there was no evidence on the ground.

"Absolutely astonishing, isn't it? A huge aircraft slams into a building, and there is no evidence the aircraft ever existed! (laughter) (I'm talking about) the Pentagon.

"America was attacked in circumstances which were absolutely suspicious. Who attacked America on September 11th? We have said that there is a massive cover-up on the part of the Bush Administration. And we have anticipated that those who have information so far concealed will eventually release that information in order to embarrass the US government as part of a strategy to bring down America. And so CNN is going to be broadcasting it. And the New York Times is going to have a field day. And all those who control the media in the United States are now going to go to work to lavishly publish all this information which demonstrates beyond doubt that the US Administration was involved in a massive cover-up.

"Who attacked America on September the 11th? We used a method. We said, since we do not have the evidence which can be used in a court of law, let us look to see who has benefited. And when we use that method of analysis, we have come to the conclusion that the only beneficiary of the September 11th attack on America has been, far and away, the state of Israel. There is a little booklet outside: "A Muslim response to the attack on America." It's just a little booklet twenty-five, twenty-eight pages. It's very cheap -- one or two dollars. I want to suggest to you it might be a good idea to take this booklet and give it out to people who you think ought to have a little bit of brainstorming. Because when they read this...they won't get this in their newspapers, and from their mainstream media in this country. But when they read this, I think they're going to have, some of them, an intellectual wake-up call. So that booklet is downstairs.

"We said that those who attacked America, therefore, must have, at their core, the Israeli Mossad. And they must have had benefit and help from many others within the Administration, within the United States, even from within the White House. When we look at their strategy, we see that they put on board the aircraft a large number of Saudis. Sounds suspicious! Why so may Saudis? And these are not Saudis who are well known for their Islamic fervor, for being what are called militants. No, these are middle-of-the-road normal Saudis who drive BMWs. People who attended American universities, for example. They were 'on board the aircraft,' and 'they died when the aircraft crashed,' so 'these were the hijackers' -- except that one of them read in the newspapers that he was dead! (laughter) So he went to the Saudi government and he said to the Saudi government, 'It seems to me as though I'm alive.' The Saudi newspapers published this article, which I read with my own eyes. This particular student had studied in Minnesota I think in the early 1990s. And in 1995 perhaps he had reported, both to the local police and to the Saudi Embassy in the United State, that someone had broken into his apartment and stolen his passport. They used that passport to hijack his identity, so they could 'put him on board the aircraft.'

"And so the planning for September 11th started many, many years before. Which reminds me, I must tell you that when I arrived in NY in April 1991 through Allah's leave and kindness within six months of coming to New York I had already been pushed to a very high-profile position in the NY metropolitan area. And then in November 1991, when I had gone to the State University of New York in Stonybrook, someone broke into my apartment...and stole only my passport. That's all. So if ever you get the news that Imran Hossein blew up the moon (laughter)...you'll understand the background. They're holding it. They have not as yet used it."

‘9/11 Unveiled’ presented to the chairman of The 9/11 Commission

Washington, DC — Former 9/11 Commission Chairman Tom Kean and members of the Bipartisan Policy Center's National Security Preparedness Group were, today, presented with copies of “9/11 Unveiled.”

Mr. Kean is co-chair of the National Security Preparedness Group (NSPG) which which released a new report — “Preventing Violent Radicalization in America.”

Following brief remarks by Mr. Kean, Peter Bergen (NSPG member and Director of the National Security Studies Program at the New America Foundation), and Peter Neumann (Founding Director of the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation at King's College London and BPC Visiting Scholar) offered brief comments on the report, and engaged in a discussion moderated by Siobhan Gorman, Intelligence Correspondent for the Wall Street Journal.

During the question and answer period, I rose to support Mr. Neumann’s recommendation for engaging with Muslim communities, and asked “which Muslim communities?” I added that groups such as the NSPG, and those in the US government, tend to engage with those Muslims who agree with them, and shun those that don’t. Dialog with only those who agree with you is not very effective.

I then handed copies of “9/11 Unveiled” to Messrs Kean, Nuemann, Bergen, and to Ms. Gorman. The book is a free download at TWF.org.

The event was filmed, and should be available for viewing later at the Bipartisan Policy Center.

NEW DELHI: Mumbai's 26/11 was actually a plan hatched by "Hindu Zionists" and "Western Zionists", including the Mossad, said a self-styled Pakistan security expert on a Pakistan news television show, uploaded on www.hotklix.com.

" Inki shaklein Hinduonwali hain, jis zabaan mein guftagoo kar rahein hain, woh zabaan koi Pakistani istemaal nahin karta hai (They look like Hindus. No Pakistani speaks the language they chatted in)," said Zaid Hamid while referring to the terrorists on the show Mujhe Ikhtilaf Hai (I differ) on Pakistan's News One channel. The sensationalist channel was launched in November last year.

Hamid said that it was a "badly planned" operation that had gone horribly wrong. "9/11 jo Americans ne kiya tha usko bahut khoobsurat camouflage kiya tha. Unhone media mein perception management bahut acchha kiya . Indians ne wahi game repeat karne ki koshish ki, lekin akal to hai nahin . In ahmakon ne complete disaster kiya isko handle karne mein . (The Americans executed the 9/11 attack perfectly. They managed the media very well. The Indians tried to repeat the formula but goofed up. The idiots made a complete mess of it).

He said that the attackers wore saffron Hindu Zionist bands, which no Muslim would tie. Hamid also said that within the first 5 minutes of the attack, the three ATS policemen investigating the network of terror within India's security agencies and radical right were killed.

That ensured that those investigations reach a dead end. Anchor Qudsia Qadri added that with their killings, the investigations into the Samjhauta Express carnage would be halted. The killings also immediately shifted attention from India's domestic terrorists to Pakistan, said Hamid.

Marvi Memon, glamorous Pakistan Muslim League member, on the same programme, was appalled at the Pakistan government's expansion of the "India-appeasement package" by initially agreeing to send ISI chief to India. "I just don't get it," she exclaimed in exasperation.

She wondered how can you send the ISI chief to a " mulk jiske sath jang chal raha hai ...at a different level...," mentioning Kashmir and accusing India of blocking Pakistan's waters. Memon said, "They (Indians) are quite obsessed with anti-Pakistan speak and that unites them," she said. Memon also spoke about India's separatist movements and believed that India was only reaping the bitter harvest of the poisonous seeds it had sowed.

Accused in 7/7 Trial Acquitted

Anthony John Hill found not guilty after jury watched films on 7/7 and 9/11; while Pentagon employee injured on 9/11 has been denied trial in the US

On May 12, at Southwark Crown Court in London, a jury returned and declared MuadDib (Anthony John Hill) innocent of attempting to "pervert the course of justice".

The jury watched MuadDib's film, The Ripple Effect, and heard in-depth discussions of both 7/7 and 9/11.

Mr Hill claimed that these were, in fact, false-flag attacks carried out for the purpose of providing a pretext for invading countries in the middle east in order to control their natural resources.

This is, perhaps, the first time such allegations of false-flag terror attacks have been made in front of a jury that apparently found them credible, and acquitted the accused.

Pentagon employee April Gallop's case filed in the United States has been denied a hearing before a jury.

On March 15, 2010, a Federal Judge in the Southern District of New York dismissed the complaint filed by Pentagon employee April Gallop and her son against Dick Cheney, Donald Rumsfeld, Richard Myers and as-yet unidentified government and military officials named as John Does.

Ms. Gallop's appeal has been dismissed by the United States Court of Appeals in New Haven, Connecticut.

The United States government is vigorously opposed to open examination of what really happened on 9/11.

Iran's Intelligence Minister: "Bin Laden dead long before US raid"

Iran's intelligence minister says the country has reliable information that former head of the al-Qaeda terrorist group Osama bin Laden died of disease some time ago.

“We have accurate information that bin Laden died of illness some time ago,” Heidar Moslehi told reporters on the sidelines of a Cabinet meeting on Sunday.

He questioned Washington's claim that bin Laden was killed by American troops in a hiding compound in Pakistan on May 1.

“If the US military and intelligence apparatus have really arrested or killed bin Laden, why don't they show him (his dead body) why have they thrown his corpse into the sea?” Moslehi asked.

“When we apprehended [former Jundallah ringleader Abdul Malik] Rigi, we showed him and also aired his interview,” ISNA quoted the intelligence chief as saying.

By releasing such false news, he said, the White House seeks to overshadow regional awakening.

Moslehi said US officials resort to such PR campaigns to divert attention from their domestic problems as well as their “fragile” economic situation.

US President Barack Obama claimed that Osama bin Laden was killed by US forces on May 1 in a hiding compound in Pakistan.

A US official later announced that bin Laden's body was abruptly buried at sea, falsely boasting that his hasty burial was in accordance with the Islamic law, requiring burial within 24 hours of death.

However, burial at sea is not an Islamic practice and Islam does not have a timeframe for burial.

US officials also claimed their decision for a sea burial was made because no country would accept bin Laden's remains, without elaborating on which countries were actually contacted on the matter.

Analysts, however, have raised serious questions as to why US officials did not allow for the application of a DNA test to officially confirm the identity of the corpse before its hasty burial.

Barrett's tour reflects an increase of interest in 9/11 truth among Muslims worldwide (roughly 80% of whom have known it was an inside job since September 2001) and Germans (89% of whom doubt the official myth of 9/11 according to a recent poll).

"I am honored by the invitation to visit Turkey, which is becoming a beacon of Islamic democracy and a staunch opponent of Zionism, fascism, and false-flag terror," Barrett said. "When Turkey was threatened by a massive wave of false-flag terror by the same kind of fascists who did 9/11, Turkish authorities succeeded in breaking up the conspiracy. If American law enforcement had half the integrity of their Turkish counterparts, Cheney and his friends would have been jailed in mid-2001, the Twin Towers would still be standing, millions of murdered Iraqis and Afghanis would still be alive, and the U.S. would still be a democracy."

Barrett also complimented the German educational system for producing a population with Europe's lowest rate of cognitive disability: Less than 11% believe the official 9/11 fairy tale. "The Germans have always been educational innovators. They produced the first kindergartens and the first modern universities. Maybe they can offer the U.S. some suggestions about how to raise the general population beyond its current kindergarten-level understanding of the world."

Jerry Mazza: Obama Bin Lyin'

The US authorities claim they shot an unarmed, defenseless Osama Bin Laden in what can only be described as an act of cold-blooded murder -- then threw his body in the ocean. This story is not only an insult to Muslim sensibilities, it's an insult to the intelligence of anyone who hears it.

Why wouldn't they make every effort to take Bin Laden alive in order to glean potentially crucial information, then put him on trial? And if they had screwed up and killed him, why wouldn't they keep his body around long enough to satisfy a skeptical world -- and then have it buried according to Muslim custom, in order to avoid reprisals by millions of angry Muslims?

Muslims for 9/11 Truth board member Enver Masud predicted, almost exactly one year ago, that US authorities were preparing to stage "Bin Laden's death." Looks like Enver nailed that one!

More lies my president told me?

As the President’s ratings were sinking, his approval for four wars diminishing, and Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner continued to push for a rise in the 14 billion plus national debt ceiling, Wall Street speculation was still driving up gas and food prices. What better time for Barack Obama to announce the assassination of Osama bin Laden by a team of Navy Seals. It’s a home-made bomb of good news to wipe away all the bad. In fact, as of May 4, 2011 the New York Times writes For Obama, Big Rise in Poll Numbers After Bin Laden Raid. “Among Independents it rose 11 points from last month, to 52 percent, while among Republicans it rose 15 points, to 24 percent.” For people of conscience it hit the bottom of the barrel.

But fibbing paid off as the President referred to bin Laden as the murderer of millions of Muslims, though bin Laden was originally recruited to fight with the Mujahadeen in a Jihad against the Russians who had attacked Afghanistan to keep a government they favored in power. This Mujahadeen was the brainchild of Zbigniew Brzezinsky, then NSA adviser to Jimmy Carter. The Mujahadeen itself was armed, trained, and paid for by the CIA. Al Qaeda was a file name in bin Laden’s laptop, meaning “the base,” a list of the best men Osama fought with in Russia. Al Qaeda was branded in 2001 by the CIA as the world’s most dangerous terror group, even though the Agency had bought and paid for its creation and maintenance.

Obama also called Osama the World’s Most Wanted Terrorist, but he neglected to mention not for the crime of 9/11. There was not enough evidence according to the FBI to keep him the number one terrorist on the 9/11 list. As to the mostly Saudi “purported terrorists,” whose pictures were hastily pulled out of an FBI file, FBI chief Robert Mueller said shortly after that we couldn’t be certain they were the perps. Actually, seven or eight of them had been living in Mid-Eastern countries at the time, and were victims obviously of identity theft. Also, why show any faces without complete certainty about who they are?

As to the airliners they purportedly hijacked, there are many who do not believe the impact and/or fires of the airliners brought down the World Trade Towers. 1492 hundred engineers and architects believe the Towers were brought down by internal demolition, as was Tower 7, never hit by an airliner, but “pulled” by internal demolition at the request of its owner, Larry Silverstein, because “there had been so much pain and suffering…” His announcement was made at 3 PM on 9/11 on national TV. Sure enough at 5:20 PM, down came Tower 7 in 6.5 seconds into its footprint, which is considered the model for Towers 1 and 2, leaving the desolation of Ground Zero. Trouble is it takes months not hours to rig an internal demo for a 47-story, steel framed building, so it had to be set already.

As to the Pentagon, it turned out there was only an eighteen foot wide entry hole and an even smaller exit hole. As you may know, military officer April Gallop, who had a top Pentagon security clearance, and who was back after a two-month maternity leave, her son Elisha in his basket beside her, experienced an internal explosion when she turned on her computer. It stopped the Pentagon clocks 7 minutes before Flight 77 purportedly hit the Pentagon at 9:38 AM, leaving no engines, no scuff marks, no luggage, no bodies, nothing but questions.

As to Shanksville, none other than former Defense Secretary Donald Rumsfeld recently blurted out words to the effect that the Muslim terrorists were the people who blew Flight 93 out of the air. No, Don, that was probably us, too. None of this was mentioned in the President’s speech, lies simply of omission. There are more.

As to bin Laden, he entered the American Hospital in Dubai in July of 2001 for kidney dialysis, and also met there with the Mid-East US station chief, noted by Robert Baer in his book, Sleeping with the Devil - How Washington Sold Our Soul for Saudi Crude. How could a man as ill as bin Laden have survived the balance of a decade with a serious illness, escaping from Tora Bora later in 2001, as US troops unsuccessfully tracked him? It would have been miraculous if not hard to believe.

The dean of American scholars on the subject of 9/11, David Ray Griffin, mentions in one of his 9/11 books, Osama bin Laden – Dead or Alive- that Bin Laden passed in Pakistan, in late December, 2001. There are death notices from Pakistan newspapers reproduced in the book, announcing that Bin Laden was buried in an unmarked grave somewhere in Pakistan as keeping with the traditions of Islam. This fact was mentioned in the NYT, Huffington Post, and Yahoo News, but in slightly different contexts.

For instance, the body of bin Laden, according to Huffington Post, was “dropped in the sea in order to leave no definitive location for his final resting place” and done so only hours later. It was CNN that originally reported “the drop” hours later. And so, are we to take it as an article of faith that there was a body, or at least pictures somewhere of the deceased, bullet-riddled Osama bin Laden. The religious issue aside, without a body we really have no case. And invoking Muslim tradition becomes a thin argument.

In Griffin’s book, published in 2009 by Olive Branch Press, the burial was noted (on page 2) from The Observer of Pakistan and the cause of death was given as “serious complications of the lungs.” Bin Laden is described as having “a natural and quiet death.” The Observer of the Pakistan newspaper “wrote he himself attended the funeral of bin Laden and the saw his face prior to burial in Tora Bora 10 days [earlier].” The actual day the report was published was on December 25, 2001. The Observer also mentioned that “20 to 30 of al-Qada fighters attended the burial as well as members of his family and some friends from the Taliban. In the farewell ceremony to his final rest guns were fired in the air. The official stated that it is difficult to pinpoint the burial location of bin Laden because according to Wahhabi tradition no mark is left by the grave…

P.S. The report was publicized, published and elaborated upon by Fox News in the United States. Griffin’s 98-page book is well worth reading in its entirety for the treasure of information it contains, including “causes of death; two fake bin Laden videos in 2001; purported bin Laden messages after 2001; who might have been motivated to fabricate messages; and the convenient timing of many of the messages.” I doubt if anyone in the Obama White House read this book.

Again, according to Huffington Post, “The fight lasted 40 minutes…a surgical raid” conducted by a Navy Seals unit. Bin Laden’s adult son was killed, as were two of his couriers and a woman being used as a human shield [though one paper said it was bin Laden who had done that]. Also, his wife was said to have been killed. And Bin Laden himself ‘did resist the assault force’ a senior administration official said. How did he resist? Reports on Sunday night said the terrorist leader was ultimately shot in the head.” But how did he resist? No answers yet.

In fact, in May 4, 2011’s New York Times, New US Account Says Bin Laden was Unarmed During Raid. Now we are told, “Members of a Navy Seals team burst in on Bin Laden in the compound where he was hiding and shot him in a room on an upper floor, after a fierce gun battle with other operatives of Al Qaeda on the first floor.” Huh.

“Bin Laden’s wife, who was with him in the room, ‘rushed the U.S. assaulter and was shot in the leg but not killed,’ said the White House spokesman, Jay Carney, reading from the brief account, which was provided by the Defense Department. “Bin Laden was then shot and killed. He was not armed.” Sounds like an execution to me though it that ugly phrase is fudged…
“Mr. Carney said that Bin Laden’s lack of a weapon did not mean he was ready to surrender, and he and other officials reiterated that this was a violent scene, that there was heavy fire from others in the house, and that the commandos did not know whether the occupants were wearing suicide belts or other explosives.” Uh huh, uh huh.
But as you know by now, Osama wasn’t living in the caves of the Afghan/Pakistan border when this happened. He was secured in a “massive compound about an hour’s drive north from the Pakistani capital of Islamabad. He was hiding in the medium-sized city of Abbottabad, home to a large Pakistani military base and a military academy of the Pakistani Army, as described by The New York Times. So it would be a rather “safe” environment for him.

Huffington Post added that, “The house at the end of a narrow dirt road,” “was roughly eight times larger than other homes in the area, but had no telephone or Internet connections…” But the Times continues, “When American operatives converged on the house on Sunday, bin Laden ‘resisted the assault force’ and was killed [shot in the head] in the middle of an intense gun battle, a senior administration official said, but details [and everything else] were still sketchy. Obviously, the story was still being worked on. I predict it will continue to change ad infinitum.
Huffington added details that the neighborhood in Abbottabad was “insulated from urban areas or places susceptible to natural disaster and terrorist attacks. The home was ‘roughly eight times larger than the other homes in the area,’ and it was also surrounded by 12-to-18-foot-high walls, topped with barbed wire. It had two security gates and a value of roughly $1 million…
“An even more telling clue for intelligence operatives: The occupants of the house were burning their trash rather than putting it out for collection.” But “One senior administration official suggested bin Laden had been staying at the compound for at least six months without moving. Bin Laden was known to have regularly shifted locations to evade capture, so it’s unusual that he chose to stay in one spot for such an extended period.”
Perhaps it was also that, as Huffington Post adds, “More recently, the Obama administration had reduced the number of drone strikes in the area -- while ramping up surveillance -- in an effort to give the al Qaeda leader a heightened sense of safety in his home.” I’m sure the real estate agent pointed that out to Mr. bin Laden.
Nevertheless, in a Yahoo/AP article it was said, Bin Laden’s neighbors noticed unusual things. There were 23 children at the compound and unclear, even in a large house, how that many people could live there. Various names were given, various languages were spoken, a group of expensive SUV’s surrounded the house, and things seemed out of kilt.
But knowledge of the resident, i.e. the presence of a “high value target,” i.e. bin Laden, came through “a courier who had a very close relationship with Osama.” Osama’s locale was also mentioned by the ever-confessing, ever-waterboarded Khalid Sheik Mohammed, supposed mastermind of 9/11. And so Santa’s helpers “…began working on a plan to get him.” And on that evidence they prepared to attack a massive compound. Or course, the deft attack team managed to have one of its helicopters crash nearby due to mechanical failure. One of three men killed in the gun battle was said to be bin Laden’s son (reminiscent of Kaddafi) and the other two his couriers. What, no carrier pigeons?

Of course, the announcement received the full drama of Obama’s rhetoric Sunday night, coming directly from the White House. America’s thumbs, regardless of the anomalies, were thrust up in victory gestures hither and yon. And Obama dutifully warned us that this victory must not signal an end to our vigilance against terrorists and those who would seek to harm us. What he didn’t mention was that since our original mission to attack Afghanistan was to get Osama, now that that was done, we could be pulling our troops out of A-land, and Pakistan (with whom we did not consult on this mission), and Iraq, still smoldering in the ruins of our shock and awe, and out of Libya, convulsing under NATO air strikes, and save billions.

Nevertheless, back here in New York City, security is being beefed up, paranoia ramped, and warnings made of possible reprisals from allies of the slain Osama.

But you have to stop and think for a minute, who are the real terrorists here? I know Obama said, “We didn’t ask for this fight. It was brought to us…” It could as well have been brought to us by George Bush and Company as an inciting incident to their hegemonic march for oil in the Caspian Sea Region and Iraq, which march has not diminished but expanded beyond Pakistan into Africa now, and is still bankrupting us, morally and financially, and killing many in its wake.

In fact, there was no mention of withdrawal from anywhere. So it’s Homeland Security and business as usual if not more. Yet, many people are waving flags down at the still uncompleted World Trade Center and gathering to celebrate “the victory.” My question to them is, how has the world changed for you? Are the troops coming come? Is the price of gas and food going down? How does one more fallen, albeit high level, enemy signal a massive victory?

The real celebration should come when every single American soldier has come home, when jobs have begun to be created in the hundreds of thousands, and when the economy is pulled back from the brink of catastrophe, and when we all see substantial proof that the “taking out” of Osama took place, i.e. photos of the corpse, a death certificate, etcetera. I’ll save my celebration for that day and let this clever intelligence move pass. Call me cynical if you wish, but Libya was supposed to be a “limited mission,” as was Iraq, Afghanistan, and Pakistan. Meanwhile they are still all ongoing.

That’s why I have real difficulty swallowing this Pyrrhic victory and its rigged tale, including bin Laden’s military nickname of “Geronimo EKIA.” Isn’t that just a touch racist, characterizing one slain “Apache leader in the 19th century who spent many years fighting the Mexican and U.S. armies until his surrender in 1886,” with a purported Mid-East leader defending his people against the U.S.? That represents a certain “skin-deep” thinking, another unusual lie from the dusky-skinned Obama.

In the Russian heartland, young people are discovering spiritual fulfillment by turning to Islam, the religion of their Tatar ancestors.

ALMETYEVSK, RUSSIA Rustam Sarachev should have had a hangover the first time he set foot in the central mosque here. He had wanted to throw a raucous party the night before, a send-off for himself on his way to Islam. But the guys he was with had mocked him for even thinking about the mosque, and had gone off drinking on their own.

So here he was, regretfully clearheaded in the daylight, 500 rubles unspent on vodka and still in his pocket, heading up the steps of the big salmon-colored mosque that dominates one end of this minor oil city east of the Volga.

It was late September 2006, the beginning of Ramadan. As he looks back on it now, he remembers that he wasn't sure why he had decided to come, or what to expect. He was 17, at loose ends, a self-described hooligan, a troublemaker, starting to get hardened by a life that was heading for the verges of the law, yet still vulnerable to the insults and disdain that seek out young men with no future here.

When he walked through the great double door of the mosque, he was taking his first steps toward joining an intense Islamic revival here in the Muslim heartland of Russia that is drawing particular strength from its young people.

Sarachev was 2 years old when the Soviet Union collapsed, 5 when the first war in Chechnya broke out, 12 on 9/11. His whole life has been an era of cataclysms, of an old world being torn apart, of war against Muslims, at home and abroad. Old identities, old certainties, have proved empty. And now he was joining others here of his own generation who are finding, in religion, an alternate authority. They are joining a global community, and at a time when great passions are stirring that community.

They learn at the mosque that Allah is punishing Iraqis for their heresies. They learn that 9/11 was carried out by American agents, or maybe agents from somewhere else, to provoke a war against Muslims. But they learn, too, that those who want to go and join the fight in Afghanistan, or Pakistan- and young men who aimed to do precisely that have passed through Almetyevsk - are in error. This is not the time. Islam needs them here, in Russia.

Their faith, in any case, is not ignited by politics. If it were, the Russian authorities would have cracked down on the mosque long ago. Sarachev came up those steps, on that day four years ago, not out of anger but in search of a way out of the pointlessness of his own life.... For years, the destructive regime of Hosni Mubarak had sought to keep the two faith communities apart and now there is sinister evidence from secret Ministry of Interior documents that it was Mubarak’s henchmen who planted bombs in Coptic churches to fuel the sectarianism that pitted Muslim against Christian. However, the Egyptian people broke free from such divisive tyranny and came together in a unity that transcended religions, cultures, gender and generations. This was a revolution for all, with no discrimination between people of faith and those of no faith...

Big Lies and the Lying Liars Who Tell Them: A Qur'anic Look at the 9/11 Blood Libel and its Idolators

"They cried lies to the truth when it came to them, and so they are in a state of confusion." (bal kadhdhabú bi-l haqqi lammá ja'á'ahum fa hum fí 'amrim-maríj). -Qur'an: 50(5)

The Qur'an is the heart of an ongoing conversation between God, His angel Jibríl, His prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings upon him), the original Muslim community, and the succession of communities of Muslims that have arisen in its wake. And at the heart of the Qur'an is a concern for truth, al-Haqq, which happens to be one of the names of God.

The Qur'an speaks of itself, alongside other revelations from God, as a furqán: a criterion or distinction between right and wrong, good and evil, truth and falsehood (2:53, 2:185, 3:4, 8:29, 8:41, 21:48, 25:1). And it exposes the agony of the people of the lie -- the people who have chosen lies over truth. This agony is not theirs alone. Though the Qur'an's descriptions of hellfire aptly portray the excruciating torment to be experienced by the liars and truth-deniers, the people of truth, including the Prophet himself (saas) clearly suffer from the frustration and occasional futility of trying to bring truth to those who are in love with lies.

The Qur'an includes about 250 occurrences of words meaning "to lie," "liar," and so on, constructed from the Arabic root k-dh-b. One of the most common phrases, occurring about ten times, is: "Who does greater evil than he who lies (fabricates lies) against God?" (wa man 'adhlamu mimmani-f-tará 'ala-llahi kadhiban...") (6:21, 6:93, etc.)

The 9/11 false-flag attack was perhaps the greatest lie against God ever fabricated by human beings. It was designed to be blamed on pious Muslims, that is, people who fervently worship God and follow the message of God as revealed in the Qur'an. In truth, the attacks were carried out by the enemies of pious Muslims, the enemies of their Book -- in short, the enemies of God. By casting the Godly as diabolical, the diabolical falsely painted themselves as Godly: The day after 9/11, George W. Bush announced that he would lead "a monumental struggle of Good versus Evil," declared a "National Day of Prayer and Remembrance," and on September 14th sanctified the big lie of 9/11 with a de facto satanic mass in the National Cathedral, featuring Billy Graham, a rabbi, an imam, a cardinal, four ex-presidents, and members of Congress.* During this satanic mass, Bush - a notorious drug user, rumored pedophile and future war criminal who would later allegedly wire the White House so he could enjoy Abu Ghaib style sexual torture on live TV** - stated that he was going to "answer these attacks and rid the world of evil."

When discussing such people, the Qur'an uses the verb kadhdhaba (to cry lies to, to deny or reject the truth) more often than the simple verb kadhaba (to lie). In effect, kadhdhaba represents lying raised to an exponential power, told by a liar who compounds his lies by insisting that the truth-tellers are liars and that he, the liar, is telling the truth. Someone who is guilty of kadhdhaba is not just a liar, but a big liar. When faced with a profound and critically important truth -- a truth that reveals that the person's whole society and its dominant worldview is false and deeply corrupt -- the big liar scoffingly denies this profoundly important truth, and mendaciously calls its purveyors liars. That is what the big liars of Mecca and Medina did when faced with prophetic truth; and it is what the big liars of today do when faced with the truth about 9/11.

Several times, the Qur'an mentions the big liar who "cries lies and turns away" or "cries lies and turns his back" (kadhdhaba wa tawalla) (20:48, 75:32, 92:16, 96:13). That is, when the Prophet (saas) or one of his followers approached such a person with the profound truth of God--a truth that revealed the polytheistic plutocracy of Mecca to be deeply corrupt--the person couldn't handle the truth and turned away, figuratively or literally, from the truth-teller and from the truth itself. 9/11 truth activists face similar frustrations with the people of kadhdhaba wa tawalla.

What happens to the big liars and their lies? The Qur'an's answer: They and their civilizations are destroyed (26:139, etc.) by earthquake (29:37), fire (25:11, 32:20, 34:42), drowning (10:73), extinction (7:72), unspecified Divine punishment (6:49), and so on. Each big liar, and indeed every human being, will face a divine reckoning: "This is the Day of Decision, that you cried lies to" (37:21).

At some level we all know this. Yet we all lie to ourselves in various ways, to various degrees, to shield ourselves from the guilt of wrongdoing, great or small. Today, the American people, and others who have not stopped the genocidal wars of aggression launched by 9/11, try to hide their guilt from themselves and from God by crying lies to 9/11 truth: "None cries lies to it but every guilty aggressor" (83:12).

American culture may have inherited from Native Americans a love of simple truth***; but our leadership has generally reacted against this love of truth and made us over as a nation of liars and swindlers. Or perhaps it is the goodness and naiveté of the average American that has opened the door to psychopathic leadership. In any event, we are now a nation profoundly corrupted by lies, above all the big lie of 9/11.

"Do you make it your living to cry lies?" (56:82) If we Americans are honest, we must answer "yes." There may still be time for us to repent and turn back to truth.

Once again, several "outrageous conspiracy theories" have turned out to be true. Which raises the million-dollar question: If the American people stormed the White House, the Pentagon, CIA headquarters, and (above all) AIPAC and JINSA headquarters, and liberated the documents therein, might they find papers confirming what we already suspect about 9/11, based on the lack of government interest in investigating a major attack, among a great many other reasons? And is this what it would take to move legally against regime leaders for their crimes? And even for the notorious Mubarak regime, they’re surprisingly bad.

Sex tapes, documents detailing broad surveillance of Egyptian dissidents and transcripts of telephone conversations between the dissenters and their family members, sure, but the biggest of what has come out so far reveals something far worse: official government involvement in the Alexandria church bombing and in a 2005 resort bombing.

Its the sort of allegation that would normally seem too extreme to have any credibility, but they’re detailed in official documents as absolute facts.The Sharm al-Sheikh terrorist attacks of July 2005 were blamed on local Bedouins, but the documents instead reveal they were plotted by Interior Minister Habib el-Adly to target a business rival of Hosni Mubarak’s son Gamal.

Egypt unsure what to do about trove of security documents

CAIRO -- Less than a month after the ouster of Hosni Mubarak, Egypt's caretaker government faces a new crisis: what to do about thousands of documents that protesters seized from State Security Agency offices over the weekend.

The military-led interim authority has demanded that the classified files kept by Mubarak's dreaded internal spy agency be returned. Instead, they're being scattered throughout Egypt, with files turning up on Facebook and Twitter hourly, forcing the government to respond to them and raising fears among some activists that their value has been reduced for any future prosecutions for torture and kidnapping.

Some of what the documents contain is salacious and sinister.

One file includes a sex tape purportedly involving a Kuwaiti princess and a prominent Egyptian businessman. Another paints Egypt's highest-ranking cleric as a womanizer.

Israa Abdel Fattah, 32, a labor organizer and blogger, shared her file with McClatchy and marveled at the thoroughness of the surveillance. The file included detailed transcripts of e-mails sent from her Gmail account and phone conversations with her ex-husband. The feeling of violation was indescribable, she said.

"I knew they were watching me, but I never imagined they knew all this information about me," she said. "My friends tried to take me out to dinner that night. They tried to make me laugh, but I couldn't. I told them I should be alone, so I took my papers and went home."

Perhaps the most controversial document to surface was one that purports to lay out State Security's involvement in a church bombing on New Year's Day in Alexandria. The bombing killed 21 people and wounded 80, the worst violence against Egypt's Coptic Christian minority in more than a decade.

The legitimacy of the document hasn't been determined, but its distribution touched off protests Sunday in Cairo by hundreds of Coptic Christians.

Copts, especially those in Alexandria, had suspected state involvement in the bombing, noting that a stepped-up security force that was supposed to have protected the church had vanished before the bomb exploded.

According to the document, one of eight said to discuss attacks on churches, State Security used a jailed Islamist to help organize the plot, including details on the church's entrances and exits. The document was dated Dec. 2, 2010, and was addressed to the interior minister. It referred to the church bombing as "Mission No. 77."

Georgette Qilini, a Copt who served in the Egyptian parliament, said Mubarak's information minister ordered television stations to stop inviting her to speak after she suggested on the air that State Security was involved in the explosion.

"Maybe they were involved," Qilini said Monday. "We visited the church after the incident and we didn't believe the official story. There are still many, many questions, but I don't have any documents."

There are also several files that back State Security officers' reputation for torture. In one letter stamped "top secret" in 2008 and made available on Facebook, a senior official wrote that detainees suffered "injuries" while in State Security custody. He complained that questioning had to be delayed until the wounds had healed.

Questions abound. Why, for example, would such a serious plot as the church bombing be outlined in a document that was found so quickly? Why were some documents shredded and others not?

As Jesse Walker reported on Saturday, angry protesters stormed various State Security buildings throughout Egypt over the weekend after hearing reports that officials were destroying files that could shed light on various abuses over the years. While Human Rights Watch yearns for a "procedure" for publishing the documents that were saved from State Security's shredders, Egyptians opted for the WikiLeaks model. Scans of files have been appearing on Facebook and image hosting sites like Yfrog ("problematic," says HRW), and the Twitter hashtag #AmnDawla has been flooded with discussions and links to the documents since Friday.

Documents published so far, assuming they're real (and the Obama administration seems to be acting as if they are), have unearthed everything from Skype snooping to a whole room full of compromising sex tapes. But perhaps the most incendiary files posted have been those tying the Interior Ministry to attacks supposedly perpetrated by terrorists. Disgraced former Interior Minister Habib el-Adly had already been widely suspected of being involved in the New Year's Eve Coptic church bombing, but the appearance of a file on "Mission No. 77" seems to confirm regime critics' most damning accusations. McClatchy says that the document describes how State Security used a jailed Islamist to carry out the attack (which had been attributed to al-Qaeda), and, perhaps more ominously, they claim that there are at least seven more files on church attacks among the pilfered documents.

Aside from the New Year's Eve attack, which was already under scrutiny before the storming of State Security offices, the documents also point to a similar conclusion with regards an earlier bombing in the seaside resort of Sharm El-Sheikh. The 2005 attack, which killed 88 and was initially blamed on Bedouin terrorists, was actually a plot by el-Adly and Gamal Mubarak to get back at one of Gamal's business rivals, according to a leaked document (partial English translation here).

And beyond these two attacks documented in the leaked files, questions have been raised about the Nag Hammadi church attack in early 2010. The allegations were apparently serious enough that an Egyptian official felt the need to deny the rumors to American diplomats, while at the same time conceding that the official explanation for the attacks "doesn't seem to fit."

Up until now, claims of terrorism have been the most effective way for Arab dictators to get sympathy and support from the US. (The Yemeni regime, which is now teetering on the edge of collapse, saw its aid double after the Christmas 2009 attempted underwear bombing.) American policy in the region has been predicated on the Faustian bargain that we overlook Arab dictators' shoddy human rights record and continue to prop them up in exchange for stability and a hard line on Islamic terrorism. But the Egyptian State Security archives suggest that not only were the Mubaraks not delivering an end to Islamic radicalism, but the regime itself may have been the source of much of Egypt's terrorism and sectarian strife.

Egypt's new government warned on Wednesday of a "counter-revolution" following a series of deadly political and religious clashes blamed on diehards of the former regime.

The government said it "is fully committed to the interests of the people and to implementing the goals of the revolution; and it will stand firm against plans for a counter-revolution," according to state news agency MENA.

Meanwhile, the newly appointed cabinet met with the ruling Supreme Council of the Armed Forces to propose a law criminalising threatening behaviour, MENA said.

A statement later said the cabinet had discussed "developments in the country, specifically the acts that have hindered daily life, acts of thuggery, incitement, intimidation and tensions affecting national unity".

Accordingly, it has "ordered the swift return of police forces, in their full capacity, back to the streets" and "urged citizens to cooperate with the police".

On Tuesday, clashes killed at least 13 in Cairo, the health ministry said.

Bloody fighting broke out late on Tuesday in the working-class Cairo district of Moqattam when Muslims confronted Christians who had been blocking a main road in protest at the burning of a church last week in the provincial town of Sol, south of Cairo.

The attack on the church came after clashes between Copts and Muslims that left two people dead.

Father Boutros Roshdy of a Moqattam church said at least seven Coptic Christians were among the dead on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, in Cairo's Tahrir Square, the epicentre of anti-regime protests that toppled president Hosni Mubarak, attackers armed with knives and machetes waded into hundreds of pro-democracy activists on Wednesday, witnesses said.

Stone-throwing skirmishes raged, and activists were gathering sticks and stockpiling rocks to defend themselves.

By early evening, the army had restored order in the square, dismantling tents pitched by protesters shortly after anti-regime riots erupted on January 25, and detaining several protesters, MENA said.

The violence, widely blamed on remnants of Mubarak's regime, revealed the security vacuum created by police, who disappeared from the streets during January protests that led to Mubarak's resignation. ...

One of the biggest sparks that set off the Egyptian revolution was blacked out of the US media.

That spark was widespread anger that Mubarak's regime collaborated with the Israeli Mossad to bomb a Coptic church in Alexandria on New Years Eve - and blame it on Muslims. The whole Middle East saw right through it immediately, and the Egyptian people's disgust was a big part of what led them to overthrow Mubarak.

False-flag terror only works on populations that don't understand it. The vast majority of Middle Eastern people know that 9/11 was an inside job. They have been on the receiving end of continuing Zionist false-flag terror for sixty years.

Had it not been for the remarkable uprising in Egypt this last week and a half, the church bombing that killed 24 in Alexandria last New Year's Eve would easily serve as justification to fear Muslim extremists in the region. Instead, we have learned now that Habib el-Adly, former interior minister of Egypt, is a suspected mastermind in the deadly church attack with the intent to blame it on Islamists, escalate the Egyptian government's crackdown on them, and gain increased western support for the Egyptian regime.

The two patsies, Jundullah leader Mohammed Abdelhadi, and frequent prisoner and Muslim Brotherhood supporter Mohamed Khaled, were apparently set up to meet after the explosion by interior ministry officer Major Fathi Abdelwahid to evaluate the success of the attack. During their meeting, Major Fathi Abdelwahid and his security forces promptly arrested the patsies. This neat operation with the "suspects" in custody was suddenly upended when mass uprisings lead to the prison break. The two patsies fled to the British embassy in Cairo and reported that the plot was developed by Interior Minister Habib el-Adly.

Apparently, under el-Adly's orders, Major Fathi Abdelwahid recruited the Jundullah leader and the Muslim Brotherhood supporter to wire a car with explosives, hire a driver (Abdelrahman Ahmed Ali) to bring the explosives to the church, then detonate the bomb. The two escapees claim Major Fathi Abdelwahid detonated the bomb before driver Ahmed Ali could escape.
After this information hit the English embassy and various news outlets, Egypt's general prosecutor opened a probe on former Interior Minister Habib el-Adly's role in the bombing via proclamation 1450, which refers to British intelligence documents and points to the news reports sourcing a UK diplomat. This diplomat explained the reasons why Britain has insisted on the immediate departure of Egyptian President Hosni Mubarak and his regime, especially his interior ministry's security apparatus previously directed by el-Adly.

If the accusations are true, what do these developments mean?

1. Hosni Mubarak is a likely accomplice to this activity, because Habib el-Adly worked directly under Mubarak up until he was replaced on January 31, 2011 (the night of the explosion), as part of a cabinet reshuffle aimed at appeasing the 2011 Egyptian protests.

2. The U.S. must be aware of this development and were likely informed by English authorities once the patsies reached the embassy. England's strong stance against Mubarak must have weighed heavily with the U.S. leaders and this false flag attack had to be part of the conversation.

3. It is highly probable that Omar Suleiman was aware of these operations. Egypt's exterior security apparatus, the Egyptian General Intelligence Service, was run by Omar Suleiman since 1993 until his appointment as Vice President of Egypt two days before the explosion.

4. The operation suggests an ongoing campaign designed to foster fear of the Muslim Brotherhood within Egypt and throughout the world. If the government of Egypt has to kill its own citizens to convince the rest of the world to fear Muslims, that fear is likely exaggerated. This is consistent with reactions from Coptes in the area who do not seem to have bought the idea that the Muslim community has suddenly become hostile and dangerous. Apparently, the attack in Alexandria was not successful in achieving its goal of creating fear of Islamic extremists within Egypt.

5. This attack on a Christian church was described by Hosni Mubarak as an attack by unnamed foreign elements. It was meant as a suggestion that Al Qaeda or Hamas was somehow involved. Despite the absence of any cell affiliated to the label of Bin Laden, the minister presented the Gaza Strip as a true seedbed of terrorists more or less dependent on Hamas and Al-Qaida. This attack had the requisite ancillary elements meant to justify the siege against Gaza.

So far, U.S. news has remained silent over this story, but the official site for the Muslim Brotherhood has printed the story, Hamas has issued a press release in response to this story, various Arabic papers have printed their versions of the story and Ramzi Mamdouh, the prosecutor who issued proclamation 1450, has spoken with Al Jazeera.

Should the allegations be true, it would mean that the U.S. is throwing its endorsement behind a government that kills its own citizens in order to justify hatred of Islamists and escalate the Egyptian government's crackdown on its citizens.

An Indian court has remanded in custody a Hindu holy man accused of a string of bomb attacks previously thought to be the work of Muslim militants.

Swami Aseemanand allegedly admitted to placing bombs on a train to Pakistan, at a Sufi shrine and at a mosque.

He has also allegedly confessed to carrying out two assaults on the southern Indian town of Malegaon, which has a large Muslim population.

He has been remanded in custody for the four attacks until 27 January.

Police say that Mr Aseemanand gave them details of his role in the mosque attack in the city of Hyderabad in 2007 in addition to attacks on a graveyard in Malegaon and a Sufi shrine in Ajmer.

Several Muslim men were arrested for those attacks - and some reports said that they had been tortured. Most are still in custody.

Mr Aseemanand was arrested in November after being in hiding for two years, police said.
According to India's Tehelka magazine, which has obtained a copy of his 42-page confession, he told his interrogators that the attacks on Muslim places were in response to attacks by Islamist militants in India.

It quotes him as saying that many of those involved in the bombings were members of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) - the right-wing parent organisation of India's main opposition Bharatiya Janata Party.

The bomb attack on the Samjhauta (Friendship) Express train travelling from India to Pakistan in February 2007 killed 68 people. Many of the passengers who died in the incident were Pakistanis returning home.

The 2008 blast in the town of Malegaon killed seven people and left more than 100 injured. A female Hindu priest, Sadhwi Pragya Singh Thakur, and a serving Indian army officer were among 11 people who were arrested in connection with the attack.

In May 2007, at least 14 people were killed in an explosion during Friday prayers at the Mecca mosque in Hyderabad. It is one of India's biggest mosques, and there was rioting afterwards.
And in October 2007, a bomb attack on a famous Sufi Muslim shrine in the city of Ajmer - in the state of Rajasthan - killed two people.

Anger over leaks

Most of these blasts were initially blamed on local militant groups and several Muslim men were arrested for alleged involvement.

But correspondents say the police were unable to make much headway in their investigations.
Opposition politicians were angered recently after leaked diplomatic cables suggested Rahul Gandhi, widely tipped as a future Indian PM, believed Hindu radicals might pose a greater threat than Islamist militants.

According to Wikileaks, Mr Gandhi told a US envoy last year there was some support among Indian Muslims for militants such as Lashkar-e-Taiba.

But he told ambassador Timothy Roemer the greater threat could come from the growth of radical Hindu groups.

Flawed war on terror: Time to undo wrongs against Muslims

The author is Secretary General of Lok Janshakti Party in India. He explains how (Hindu extremist) Hinduvta/RSS terrorists backed by some Indian politicians and intelligence agencies staged false flag bombings and blamed them on Indian Muslim patsies, i.e. the typical Zionist trick like 9/11, 7/7, Madrid, London, Mumbai, etc.

In the aftermath of the bomb blasts at Ajmer Sharif Dargah (2006), Malegaon (2006), Mecca Masjid (2007) and Samjhauta Express (2007), our intelligence agencies claimed that these gruesome attacks were the handiwork of Islamist terrorist groups. The disclosures were followed by large-scale arrests of suspects -- predictably all of them Muslims. That was not all!

The intelligence agencies fed the media with detailed accounts of how the accused had planned the mass killings in cahoots with their Pakistani and Bangladeshi counterparts. As tangible evidence, Muslim men and even boys with beards and skull caps were paraded as the perpetrators of terror before an unquestioning media, and in turn some mischievous media men coloured the incidents with a communal hue. It was no surprise then that during this period, a vicious SMS proclaiming “all Muslims are not terrorists but all terrorists are Muslims” was widely circulated in a clear attempt to reinforce prejudices and further the divide between Hindus and Muslims in the country.

Biased war on terror and ordinary Muslims

The woes of the ordinary law-abiding Muslim have been compounded by these mindless acts of terror. Living as he is on the margins of society, discriminated against in the job market, in education, when seeking loans and even when looking for accommodation, he is now burdened with the stigma of being in tacit collusion with the terrorists. His commitment to the nation is being questioned because of the widespread belief, fuelled by the intelligence agencies and media that all terrorists were Muslims. Numerous Muslims have complained about being called “aatankvaadis” sometimes by their associates and sometimes even by strangers. An entire community is being punished for the crimes of an aberrant few. Scores of Muslims have been rounded up, detained without any proof of wrongdoing and tortured.

So insecure is the Muslim mindset that following every terror attack, we have the spectacle of Muslim leaders and celebrities of every hue condemning the barbaric attacks. Clearly the Muslim celebrity feels that unless he publicly condemns the terrorist acts, the general impression would be that he actually approves of these acts or was indifferent to them; perhaps at the back of their mind was the infamous statement of the former Prime Minister Vajpayee who almost justified the Gujarat riots 2002 by stating that the Muslim condemnation of Godhra incident was not loud enough: hence the loud protests. They tiresomely proclaim the universal truth that terrorists have no religion. And yet Muslims feel insecure and harried with every terrorist attack as they sense the country’s negative focus on them.
Now truth about Hindutva terror is out

But now the truth is out. Swami Aseemanand’s confession has finally and indubitably confirmed what Hemant Karkare had first exposed—the Hindutva nexus with terror. The brave Karkare’s investigations had sent shock waves through the nation and inevitably invited the wrath of known Muslim baiters such as Bal Thackeray and L.K. Advani. Despite the grave allegations against Sadhavi Pragya of inspiring the terror attacks, the President of a national party visited her in jail and came out strongly in her defense. But somehow the media and public at large did not seem too outraged by the open support given to such criminal, anti-national elements by leading functionaries of a national party. There is a lesson here somewhere. Would the nation at large be as tolerant if a Muslim leader had visited the perpetrator of the 26/11 attacks and spoken in his defense? Such a Muslim leader would most certainly have been pronounced an antinational. Clearly, there are dual standards in assessing actions of the dominant and minority communities respectively.

That the Hindutva terror network has spread far and wide is evident from the fact that apart from the Sadhavi, the Swami, myriad underworld figures, there is an army colonel involved in planning the attacks. For some strange reason there has hardly been any discernible public disquiet at revelations that Hindutva terrorists have executed a series of terrorist acts. However, it would be dangerous to dismiss the evil of Hindutva terror as a mere aberration or ‘the handiwork of a few hotheads’ when they should actually be regarded as monsters for the heinous acts committed. What is disturbing is that many misguided Indians believe that these mass murderers are giving Muslims a dose of their own medicine and therefore deserve commendation. Little do they realize that violence is a zero sum game. There are no winners in this awful expression of hate.

4 steps to undo wrongs against Muslims

There is no doubt that the fight against terrorism in this country is coloured with religious overtones. It is therefore essential that the government act firmly and without prejudice in stamping out this cancer.

(1) The first job of the government should be to unconditionally release all those Muslims detained in connection with the blasts admittedly authored by Aseemanand and his group. The government and its law enforcement agencies cannot possibly undo the hurt caused to the hundreds of Muslims who have been persecuted for no fault of theirs, but by releasing these innocents unconditionally, the government would be sending a message that a grievous wrong is being corrected.

(2) Our country has been extremely sensitive to victims of any form of devastation whether natural, social or accidental. While no amount of compensation can make up for the torture and harassment undergone by countless Muslims for crimes they knew nothing of, it is imperative that the government adequately compensate the victims and their families. Apart from monetary compensation jobs should be given to each victim or some members of his family.

(3) The law enforcement authorities have been merciless in dealing with Muslim organizations such as SIMI, IM… that are suspected of nurturing terrorists. While the government may have strong reasons for the stringent action taken, it is intriguing that there is no move to ban equally dangerous organizations like the RSS, VHP, Bajran Dal and Abhinav Bharat. Soft peddling on this issue would not only encourage these antinational groups to continue their criminal activities aimed at the minority community, but also heighten the sense of insecurity among Muslims. It was that great visionary, Nehru, who had sanctioned that by virtue of numbers as well as in other ways, it was the responsibility of the dominant community not to use its position in any way which might prejudice the secular ideal of the nation. If the fundamentalist outfits are not challenged and defeated, this country will continue to live in the shadow of terrorism.

(4) In the last two decades, innocent Muslims have suffered grievously at the hands of religious fundamentalist groups. The Mumbai pogrom of 1993, the Gujarat genocide of 2002 were not random killings but mass murder of a particular community, and both these ghastly happenings were at least as heinous as the dastardly Sikh Killings of 1984. Our Prime Minister rightly felt that the nation owed an apology to the Sikhs for that terrible act and it was indeed honourable of him to tender such an apology. In the last four years, scores of innocent Muslims have been rounded up, confined and tortured for bomb blasts engineered by fundamentalist Hindutva groups. Would it not be in the fitness of things for the Prime Minister to say sorry to the Muslims for the suffering that they have had to undergo for no fault of theirs?

In the words of a zealot…

Swami Aseemanand’s chilling confession is the first legal evidence of RSS pracharaks’ involvement in the Samjhauta Express and 2006 Malegaon blasts. ASHISH KHETAN scoops the 42-page document that reveals a frightening story of hate and deliberate mayhem

ON 18 DECEMBER 2010, a team of CBI sleuths escorted an elderly Bengali man Naba Kumar Sarkar, 59 — popularly known as Swami Aseemanand — from Tihar jail to the Tis Hazari court in Delhi, where he was produced before metropolitan magistrate Deepak Dabas. Aseemanand is the key accused in the 2007 Mecca Masjid blast that killed nine people. This was his second court appearance in a span of little over 48 hours. On 16 December, Aseemanand had requested the magistrate to record his confession about his involvement in a string of terror attacks. He stated that he was making the confession without any fear, force, coercion or inducement.
In accordance with the law, the magistrate asked Aseemanand to reflect over his decision and sent him to judicial custody for two days — away from any police interference or influence.
On 18 December, Aseemanand returned, resolute. The magistrate asked everybody except his stenographer to leave his chamber. “I know I can be sentenced to the death penalty but I still want to make the confession,” Aseemanand said.

Over the next five hours, in an unprecedented move, Aseemanand laid bare an explosive story about the involvement of a few Hindutva leaders, including himself, in planning and executing a series of gruesome terror attacks. Over the past few years, several pieces of the Hindutva terror puzzle have slowly been falling into place — each piece corroborating and validating what has gone before. First, the arrest of Sadhvi Pragya Thakur, Dayanand Pandey, Lt Col Shrikant Purohit and others in 2008. The seizure of 37 audio tapes from Pandey’s laptop that featured all these people discussing their terror activities. And most recently, the Rajasthan ATS’ chargesheet on the 2007 Ajmer Sharif blast. Aseemanand’s confession, however, is likely to prove one of the most crucial pieces for investigative agencies.

Unlike police interrogation reports or confessions, under clause 164 of the Criminal Procedure Code (CrPC), confessions before a magistrate are considered legally admissible evidence. Is Thierry Meyssan, the original 9/11 trutheur, converting to Islam?

According to a report at the French Muslim website Oumma.com, Thierry Meyssan - the respected left-leaning intellectual who shocked the world in 2002 with the news that 9/11 was an inside job - is converting to Islam.

Meyssan, whose book L'éffrayeuse imposture (9/11: The Big Lie) set French publishing records in 2002 and made him a controversial figure, is reported to be planning an event this weekend announcing his conversion to Islam alongside three other prominent anti-Zionist French intellectuals - Alain Soral, Dieudonné, and Paul-Éric Blanrue.

According to the Oumma.com report, Meyssan and the other new converts are arranging the public event to announce their conversions in order to strike a blow against Islamophobia: "The club of anti-Zionists has decided to deliver a huge kick to the Parisian Islamophobic anthill and make its blood boil."

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has renewed his call to establish an independent fact-finding committee on the 9/11 incident, urging trial of those who engineered the event.

"Plotters of the September 11 incident should be brought to trial. While regional nations knew nothing about the event, yet countries were occupied [because of it]," IRNA quoted President Ahmadinejad as saying in a press conference in the Azeri capital of Baku on Thursday.

"A fact-finding committee which is trusted by nations should investigate the 9/11 event," he added.

The president emphasized that if US statesmen truly possess firm documents about what happened during the incident, as they claim, they should not fear the establishment of a fact-finding committee and can produce their evidence to the body for a probe.

The Iranian chief executive went on to add, "If it is proved that such crimes were carried out by those who have presence in our region, regional countries and nations will duly punish them by themselves."

In his speech to the United Nations General Assembly in New York in September, the Iranian president called for the formation of an independent probe committee to investigate the 2001 event in New York and Washington.

President Ahmadinejad's call for a probe triggered a row in the White House with US President Barak Obama criticizing the Iranian president's remarks as "hateful."

The Iranian president later defended his proposal, saying it did not mean Tehran was insensitive to the pain of the families of the victims but rather showed a commitment to finding the truth behind an incident that triggered wars in Iran's neighboring countries.

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ahmadinejad expressed Iran's constant readiness to hold fair talks with P5+1 group -- Britain, China, France, Russia and the US plus Germany.

"We have always advocated negotiations but talks should be based on justice and respect. However, certain Western countries pursue arrogant behavior and think they can win concession if they exert pressure on Iran," he said.

"We believe that talks should be held for friendship and justice and that everyone who intends to impose their demands is mistaken. Iran will not be affected," he added.

The Iranian chief executive pointed out that negotiations are currently underway to set the venue of talks between Iran and P5+1.

On October 14, EU Foreign Affairs Chief Catherine Ashton proposed three-day talks to be held in mid-November in the Austrian capital of Vienna, expressing hope that Tehran would "respond positively" to the offer.

Iran's proposed date and venue for talks with the P5+1 were announced on November 9 in a letter sent by Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Saeed Jalili to his counterpart Catherine Ashton.

Ashton accepted Iran's proposed date for talks, but suggested Vienna or Switzerland as the venue for the first meeting.

Military Career

General Hamid Gul was commissioned as 2^nd Lieutenant in a distinguished tank regiment, 19^thLancers, on 18^th of October 1958. In a brilliant career spread over 36 years, he topped almost every course he attended, and commanded some of the best units and formations of The Pakistan Army including the crack 1^st Armored Division and 2 Corps, the premier strike formation of Pakistan. He earned the reputation of a brilliant and dashing commander, loved and admired by his troops and respected by his seniors. He headed the Military Intelligence (MI) and also became founder father of the Corps of Military Intelligence. His military career took him to the rank of General. At the height of his military career he was deemed to be the hottest favourite for the slot of The Chief of the Army Staff but due to political pressures from abroad he was not selected and assigned the Director Generalship of a military industrial complex which he refused to accept and resigned from the Army.

ISI and Afghan Jihad

The highest attainment of his long and distinguished career was his Command of The Inter Services Intelligence (ISI) during the fateful period of Afghan Jihad against the Soviet occupation of that country. He is widely regarded as the architect of the Afghan resistance that eventually steered the Afghan Mujahideen to historic victory, forcing the Soviets to pull out on the 15^th of Feb 1989. He was immensely popular with all the Mujahideen factions of that time who held him in very high esteem and treated him as a fatherly figure. He used his sway and clout over the Mujahideen to forge peace in Afghanistan on at least three occasions when Mujahideen factions had started fighting among themselves after liberation. It was creditable that he did so after retirement, entirely in his individual capacity. The unruly Mujahideen commanders obeyed and respected him like no one else. Later on with the advent of Taliban’s rise he was equally admired and respected by the Taliban leadership because of his principled stand in support of the Afghan resistance against US aggression so much so that he was invited as the chief guest at the Afghan National Day parade in Kabul on 19^th August 2001.

He is generally regarded as the benefactor and friend of the Afghan nation as a whole and commands influence both on the Taliban side and among the top government functionaries and the political leaders of the Kabul Regime. It is generally believed that he may be the one person who could play an important conciliatory role for the unity of the Afghan nation at an appropriate time.

Public Profile

Inside the country, General Hamid Gul is known for honour, truthfulness, integrity and a bold stance on national issues. He enjoys great respect among ulema, intellectuals, technocrats and retired and serving servicemen of all orientations. But perhaps he cuts the best image among the youth of Pakistan. He is one of the most coveted and sought-after figures by domestic and international media. He is deluged almost daily by the world media for his opinion and analysis which he blends with a strategic foresight hardly manifest in any other media personality. Pakistani President Asif Ali Zardari believes that the United States has been secretly behind a number of Taliban suicide attacks across the nation, according to a detailed account from Bob Woodward’s new book Obama’s Wars.

According to the book, Zardari expressed this concern to then-US envoy Zalmay Khalizad during a dinner, telling him that they were being arranged by either the US or India and that he “didn’t think India could be that clever.”

Met with shock by Khalizad, Zardari explained that it was part of a US plot to “destabilize Pakistan so that the US could invade and seize its nuclear weapons.” Zardari also apparently claimed that Afghan President Hamid Karzai had told him the US was responsible for the attacks.

The claims continued to get more elaborate, as Zardari claimed the CIA was overtly supporting Baitullah Mehsud and that the US had “revealed its support of the TTP.” Mehsud, the former leader of the TTP, was assassinated in August 2009, and has since been replaced by Hakimullah Mehsud.

Mohammad Kowsari is an Iranian lawmaker and he says Iran is ready to form a truth-finding committee into 9/11 and present their findings to the United Nations.

Surprisingly many American citizens also want this because there was no "real" investigation into the events of 9/11.

The group would find out who was really behind 9/11. Ahmadinejad called for the UN truth finding mission.

Mohammad Kowsari said that forming such a committee is needed to resolve "global problems".

Since 9/11 the US government has invaded countless countries, they have killed thousands of innocent civilians and felt the need to occupy some countries until today. Iraq is still full of US troops even though they deny it. All this was done under the pretext of "war on terror" and it all started with Saddam's not found "weapons of mass destruction" which until today has not been found.

Unfortunately, Hamza Yusuf apparently has not yet publicly spoken out for 9/11 truth, even though in the above video he does excoriate CIA drug dealing. He may be concerned that if he took a public pro-9/11-truth stance, his effort to establish Zaytuna University as the first Muslim university in the USA would be impeded by attacks from the 9/11 perps, their dupes, and those in power who fear that 9/11 truth would be destabilizing. (Note how the Cordoba Islamic Center project came under attack from Fox News due to its rather tangential link to Muslims for 9/11 Truth board member Dr. Faiz Khan.)

Sheikh Yusuf Estes, like Sheikh Hamza Yusuf, is a prominent American Muslim leader who opposes thulm (oppression/injustice) in all its forms, is not stupid, and therefore may be assumed to be an ally of those seeking to expose the truth about 9/11 and false-flag terrorism. But Sheikh Yusuf, like Sheikh Hamza, is spearheading a major effort to take Islam in America to the next level--in this case by a massive dawa outreach program. ISTANBUL – About a week ago, Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad declared to the United Nations that most people in the world believe the United States was behind the terrorist attacks of Sept. 11, 2001.

To many people in the West, the statement was ludicrous, almost laughable if it weren't so incendiary. And surveys show that a majority of the world does not in fact believe that the U.S. orchestrated the attacks.

However, the belief persists strongly among a minority, even with U.S. allies like Turkey or in the U.S. itself. And it cannot be dismissed because it reflects a gulf in politics and perception, especially between the West and many Muslims.

"That theory might be true," said Ugur Tezer, a 48-year-old businessman who sells floor tiles in the Turkish capital, Ankara. "When I first heard about the attack I thought, 'Osama,' but then I thought the U.S. might have done it to suppress the rise of Muslims."

Compassion for the United States swept the globe right after the attacks, but conspiracy theories were circulating even then. It wasn't al-Qaida, they said, but the United States or Israel that downed the towers. Weeks after the strikes, at the United Nations, President George W. Bush urged the world not to tolerate "outrageous conspiracy theories" that deflected blame from the culprits.

However, the subsequent wars in Iraq and Afghanistan provided fodder for the damning claim that the U.S. killed its own citizens, supposedly to justify military action in the Middle East and to protect Israel. A 2006 survey by the Pew Global Attitudes Project found that significant majorities in Egypt, Indonesia, Jordan and Turkey — all among the most moderate nations in the Islamic world — said they did not believe Arabs carried out the attacks.

Those who say the attacks might have been an "inside job" usually share antipathy toward the U.S. government, and often a maverick sensibility. Besides Ahmadinejad, high-profile doubters include Cuba's Fidel Castro and Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez. Former Minnesota governor and pro wrestler Jesse Ventura has questioned the official account. Conspiracy theorists have heckled former President Bill Clinton and other prominent Americans during speeches.

Controversy over U.S. actions and policies, including the widely discredited assertions that Saddam Hussein had weapons of mass destruction, reinforced the perceptions of conspiracy theorists. Iranians dug deeper into history, recalling the U.S.-backed coup in their country in 1953.

"Initially, I was doubtful about the conspiracy theories. But after seeing the events in later years, I don't have any doubt that it was their own operation to find a pretext to hit Muslim countries," said Shaikh Mushtaq Ahmed, a 58-year-old operations manager in a bank in Pakistan. "It's not a strange thing that they staged something like this in their own country to achieve a big objective."

In March, an editorial in The Washington Post harshly criticized Yukihisa Fujita, a lawmaker with the ruling Democratic Party of Japan, for saying in an interview that some of the Sept. 11 hijackers were alive and that shadowy forces with advance information about the plot played the stock market for profit. Fujita said the article contained factual errors.

The record shows that al-Qaida agents on a suicide mission hijacked four American passenger planes and crashed them into the World Trade Center towers, the Pentagon, and a field in Pennsylvania, killing nearly 3,000 people. The evidence is immense: witness accounts, audio recordings, video and photographic documentation, exhaustive investigations and claims of responsibility by al-Qaida.

Yet every fact and official assertion only feeds into alternative views that become amplified on the Internet, some tinged with anti-Semitism because of the close U.S.-Israeli alliance. They theorize that a knowing U.S. government stood by as the plot unfolded, or that controlled demolitions destroyed the Twin Towers, and the Pentagon was hit by a missile.

"All this, of course, would require hundreds if not thousands of people to be in on the plot. It speaks volumes for the determination to believe something," said David Aaronovitch, the British author of "Voodoo Histories: the role of Conspiracy Theory in Modern History."

"This kind of theory really does have a big impact in the Middle East," he said. "It gets in the way of thinking seriously about the problems in the area and what should be done."

A U.S. State Department website devotes space to debunking conspiracy theories about Sept. 11, in the apparent belief that the allegations must be addressed forcefully rather than dismissed out of hand as the ruminations of a fringe group.

"Conspiracy theories exist in the realm of myth, where imaginations run wild, fears trump facts, and evidence is ignored. As a superpower, the United States is often cast as a villain in these dramas," the site says.

Tod Fletcher of Petaluma, California, has worked as an assistant to David Ray Griffin, a retired theology professor, on books that question the Sept. 11 record. He was cautious about the Iranian president's comments about conspiracy theories, suggesting Ahmadinejad may have been politically motivated by his enmity with the U.S. government.

"It seems like it's the sort of thing that could lead to further vilification of people who criticize the official account here in the United States," Fletcher said.

He was greeted by applause when he walked into the United Nations General Assembly, and applauded again, even after questioning 9/11 and claiming that the American government may have been behind the attack.

That’s right, applauded after questioning the motivation for the terrorist attacks, who was responsible for them, and essentially suggesting they were a U.S. plot.

Mahmoud Ahmadinejad has made a variety of claims over the years during his appearances here, but he never has gone this far when talking about 9/11.

During his General Assembly address, the Iranian President called for a “U.N. fact finding group” to investigate 9/11.

He also said that ”the majority of the American people as well as most nations and politicians around the world” believe that “some segments within the U.S. government orchestrated the attack to reverse the declining of the American economy and its grips on the Middle East in order to save the Zionist regime.”

Before his speech, the Obama administration must have had high hopes that Ahmadinejad would have listened to the offers of diplomacy as presented by the administration and its allies on the Security Council. Members of the U.S. delegation remained in their seats. In years past, only what is called a “low-level note taker” has often been posted behind the little plastic “United States” sign, when Ahmadinejad took the stage.

On Tuesday, when Ahmadinejad spoke during the global summit on poverty, the American delegation remained even as he predicted the defeat of capitalism.

But true to form, he quickly went over the line with his 9/11 remarks and that prompted the U.S. diplomats, and others, to get up and walk out.

“ It’s outrageous,” said State Department spokesman P.J. Crowley. “a short distance from here, nine years ago, three-thousand people were killed in an attack perpetrated by nineteen people, and an attack that was orchestrated by Al Qaeda. We know exactly who did it, they’ve admitted it, the facts are not in dispute, so for the President of Iran to come here and make the suggestion that somehow this was an American plot, is simply outrageous.”

But as Ahmadinejad walked from the podium, he did so rewarded by applause in the august chamber of the world body.

Yesterday in New York, Mr. Enver Masud, founder of The Wisdom Fund, presented his book "9/11 Unveiled" to Dr. Mahmoud Ahmadinejad, President of the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The occasion was a private dinner at the Warwick hotel in New York City hosted by Mohammad Khazaee, the Permanent Representative of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the United Nations.

Approximately 50 Muslim leaders, including Minister Farrakhan and representatives of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), Muslim American Society (MAS), Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA), Truth & Justice Foundation attended.

Following dinner, President Ahmadinejad met with guests and invited questions and comments. He responded to each of them.

In his response to Mr. Masud's statement that the official account of 9/11 is false, President Ahmadinejad stated that he would read Mr. Masud's book "9/11 Unveiled".

On another occasion, he exhibited nauseatingly smarmy condescension toward one of Barrett's University of Wisconsin students. But his latest attack on the 80% of the world's Muslims who know 9/11 was an inside job, and on the 9/11 truth movement in general, was sickening even by O'Reilly standards.

O'Reilly tries to smear Imam Rauf, the point man behind the Cordoba Project Islamic Center, by associating him with Muslims for 9/11 Truth board member Faiz Khan, M.D. Dr. Khan is a 9/11 first responder with a well-deserved reputation as an unusually thoughtful and -- yes -- moderate person. O'Reilly tries to paint Dr. Faiz Khan as a dangerous "radical" simply because Dr. Khan has studied the facts of 9/11 and come to the same conclusions as 80% of the world's Muslims, roughly 100 million Americans, and a growing number of architects, engineers, and other experts.

It is, of course, O'Reilly and Fox News -- not Dr. Faiz Khan and the 1.2 billion Muslims who know 9/11 was an inside job -- who are the biggest bunch of extremists on the planet. They should be taken off the air ; - )

I responded to the September 11th attack days later by praying to Allah Most High in an Islamic Center in Queens, New York, to punish those responsible for the attack, with the greatest possible punishment, and with a punishment that would continue until the Last Day. All those who were present in the Masjid joined me in the prayer. Having done that I now invite the Jews to make a similar prayer.

Forum: Questions about 9-11 attackers remain

9-11 always reminds me of reading the early newspaper reports that Mohammed Atta and cohorts were not Muslim fundamentalists. All the accounts from neighbors, cab drivers, bar owners and even a girlfriend who was a stripper were consistent in describing those guys as drinking, drugging, womanizing egomaniacs who cared nothing whatsoever for Islam or Allah.

I think it may shockingly emerge that Muslims were framed for the horrendous crimes of 9-11, so that the powers-that-be could have "a reason" to use American blood and treasure for invading and occupying the Middle East with its resources.

Once you know that a year prior to 9-11, Rumsfeld, Cheney, Jeb Bush and others published exactly such proposals - look up PNAC (Project for a New American Century) - then it becomes alarming that they further stated their military goals could not be accomplished without some "catalyzing and catastrophic event - like a new Pearl Harbor." A year later, George W. Bush called 9-11 a new Pearl Harbor.

I am from a Muslim family, and I humbly agree with these Jewish veterans. It would be inappropriate to have a Muslim centre near Ground Zero under the present circumstances.

Let there be an open inquiry, under the auspices of the General Assembly of the United Nations, to go into the official US government story about 9/11, with free and open examination of the claims of experts such as Prof David Ray Griffin, Prof Steven Jones, Christopher Bollyn, Richard Gage and others in the so-called 9/11 truth movement; and from the other side, any witnesses that the US government, the government of Israel or any of their friends and supporters would wish to put forward.

If the evidence clearly supports the US government claim, the world Muslim community should agree, as atonement, to knock down all mosques within one hundred miles of Ground Zero.

If, however, it turns out that 9/11 was clearly an inside job, under the leadership of Zionists and globalists, for the expansion of the American empire and for the destruction of Israels enemies, then it would be most appropriate, as Dr Kevin Barrett has proposed to President Obama, for a giant mosque to be constructed at Ground Zero itself.

The intention with which I write this letter is as a friend – although I realize that you may not consider me to be a friend. After all, I have been publically critical of Feisal’s book: What’s Right With Islam (e.g., in my: Unveiling Terrorism, Fundamentalism and Spiritual Abuse). However, if friends can’t be honest with one another, then, I’m not really sure what friendship means.

Moreover, we previously have sat down face-to-face on a number of occasions to break bread and discuss issues of importance. I may not always have said what you liked or stated that with which you agreed, but I have always interacted with you both in a sincere fashion.

I once asked you, Daisy, to look in on a friend and her two children because I was concerned about their physical and spiritual welfare given that they seemed to be inextricably entangled with a fraudulent Sufi teacher. I asked you to do this because, among other reasons, you were relatively proximate to, and a friend of, the family in question while I was living more than ten hours travel-time away from them, and because -- for reasons about which you were cognizant -- a phone call from me might not have been well received.

You expressed mystification about what I believed you could do concerning those three individuals, and I said: “Be a Friend”. In response you said during our phone conversation that you were planning to meet with the mother in the near future, and you indicated to me you would try to gauge what was going on. I assume this was done – I have to assume this since I never heard back from you on the matter.

I also have tried to get in touch with Feisal on several occasions – both by e-mail and phone. On one of these occasions, I spoke with you and asked you to pass on a message to Feisal that I wanted to talk with him about an issue of some importance to me.

Once again, I never heard back. So, I have to assume that neither of you consider me to be a friend despite our past relatively, friendly interactions.

I can’t do anything about your side of the situation. All I can try to do is look after my own spiritual condition.

I have never written either of you off. I did not do this despite my disappointment in some of the things you were saying and doing – such as Feisal’s support for the fatwa which tried to justify Muslims killing other Muslims in Iraq and Afghanistan … a fatwa that Feisal sent to the New York Times encouraging them to publish it and which was included in Feisal’s book (What’s Right With Islam) – a position which I criticized in my aforementioned book.

On the other hand, you both have been giving me some fairly clear signals for quite some time that you did not wish to have anything to do with me. Consequently, I consider our relationship to be one of estrangement – that is, something which is, in a sense, still open, in however a tenuous manner, but fraught with tension of one kind or another and something that might never get resolved.

In any case, despite the turbulent waters that have flowed beneath the existential bridge so elusively connecting us, I am currently writing to you both as a friend. Moreover, what I have to say now is from nowhere but my heart and soul with a deep concern for your spiritual welfare, as well as the welfare of all Americans and people throughout the world.

You, Feisal, have been criticized by, among others, Newt Gingrich for claiming that the United States was, in a sense, partially responsible,for what happened on 9/11. Your position is the ‘blowback’ theory championed by a variety of people – including Noam Chomsky, Chalmers Johnson, Amy Goodman, and Howard Zinn – that through the oppressive and destructive policies conducted by the United States government in relation to many Muslim countries over the last six decades (starting, perhaps, with the CIA’s over-throw of the legally elected Mossadegh’s government in Iran in 1953), the United States incited various elements in the Muslim world to get revenge against the United States … revenge which allegedly came home to roost on 9/11.

Your ‘blowback’ position is in need of revision, for it is inconsistent with the actual facts of 9/11. You should revise your understanding in the light of testimony from, among others: Sibel Edmonds, Indira Singh, Mike Ruppert, Barry Jennings, David Chandler, William Rodriquez, Richard Grove, Robin Wright, Colleen Rowley, April Gallop, David Schippers, Pierre Henry-Brunel, Judy Wood, Kevin Ryan, A.K. Dewdney, Steven Jones, Anthony Shaffer, Richard Gage, William Lagasse and Chadwick Brooks (both of whom are Pentagon Police Officers), as well as hundreds of architects, engineers, scientists, pilots (both commercial and military), fire-fighters (including the first responders whose testimony was finally released under a Freedom of Information suit by the New York Times against the City of New York), ex-CIA officers, and workers at both Arlington Cemetery and the Naval Annex who have come forth with evidence that collectively demonstrates that the “official” conspiracy theory concerning 9/11 cannot withstand critical scrutiny – in other words, that what is alleged to have happened, among other places, at the Twin Towers and the Pentagon did not occur in the way that has been claimed in: The 9/11 Commission Report; the various NIST (National Institute for Standards and Technology) reports concerning the Twin Towers and Building 7; or, the Pentagon Performance Report.

John Farmer, who headed up one of the 9/11 Commission research teams, has indicated that there were many dynamics taking place behind the scenes of the Commission that ensured Philip Zelikow -- a person with deep ties and conflicts of interest concerning the Bush Administration, conflicts of interest about which he remained silent when he was being interviewed for the position of: ‘Director of the 9/11 Commission’ -- had complete control over what did and did not see the light of day during the investigation. Not only is there evidence to indicate that Zelikow had already written a first draft of the Commission’s Report prior to any witnesses being deposed, but there is overwhelming evidence to indicate that Zelikow actively sought to exclude important testimony from the process by preventing many, if not all, of the testimony from the foregoing listed names to be properly considered or openly discussed through the 9/11 Commission process.

I believe you are honorable people who are seeking to do good as best you currently are able to understand what that might mean and involve. I believe your Cordoba initiative is done with such an intention.

I do not believe you are willfully holding an opinion concerning the events of 9/11 that is contrary to the facts. Rather, I believe you hold the opinion you do because you are ignorant of the actual facts – because you have not had the time or taken the time to do due diligence with respect to conducting rigorous research concerning 9/11.

I believe your situation vis-à-vis 9/11 is that of many Americans and even that of many people in the media. I do not believe any of you are part of some vast conspiracy to cover up the truth about 9/11.

I believe you have made the same mistake that many people have committed in this matter. You have let other people provide you with many of your opinions and ideas about 9/11 without bothering to properly verify or vet those sources.

Based solely on your public statements (such as, among other places, your book: What’s Right With Islam), I know that you have not carefully, if at all, gone through The 9/11 Commission Report, The FEMA Report, the NIST reports, or the Pentagon Performance Report. I know with even more certainty that you have not taken the time to listen to the testimony or read the testimony of most, if not all, of the witnesses who I mentioned earlier.

I know this because if you had done such due diligence you would have come to a much different conclusion than you have concerning the events of 9/11. I know this because you have had a good education and, at one point in your life, were heading toward a career in science and, therefore, are capable of looking at empirical data or experimental results and, then, being able to critically analyze such material in order to evaluate its credibility and viability. I know this because I have had discussions with you previously about technical issues.

The problem, however, is that you really have not looked at the actual data and facts concerning 9/11. Indeed, as indicated, your problem is that of many individuals in America – individuals of good will and decency – who have accepted, without much critical investigation of their own, what other people have had to say about 9/11 … people who had positions of responsibility concerning the investigation of 9/11 but, unfortunately, betrayed the American people instead.

I don’t know what the motives of such people were. I am not interested in speculating about them.

What I do know is that they got pretty much everything wrong. They committed egregious errors of both commission and omission during their inquiries into such things as the collapse of the Twin Towers, the collapse of Building 7, the devastation at the Pentagon, and the jet crash in the field in Pennsylvania.

I have no theory about who or what is responsible for the events of 9/11. I have not formed any conclusions -- one way or the other -- whether the alleged 19-20 hijackers actually had anything to do (whether peripherally, indirectly, or directly) with 9/11.

People who demand to know who committed the terrorist acts of 9/11, if not the 19 or 20 Muslims in question, are getting the cart before the horse. First one needs to establish the facts, and, then, one needs to connect the dots to see where they lead with respect to the people who may be implicated by those facts.

No one in the government, academia, or the mainstream media have done any of their so-called fact-finding in a way that is capable of plausibly being able to demonstrate that the Twin Towers or Building 7 collapsed in the way alleged. No one in the government, academia, or the mainstream media have done any of their so-called fact-finding in a manner which is capable of accounting for what allegedly occurred at the Pentagon. No one in government, academia, or the mainstream media have done any of their so-called fact-finding in a way that plausibly accounts for what allegedly went on in Shanksville, Pennsylvania.

None of the foregoing is about who is responsible for 9/11. It is entirely about what actually happened – and can be demonstrated – with respect to the physical facts of 9/11.

Why have I bothered to provide the foregoing overview concerning certain facets of 9/11? There are several reasons.

First, I am trying to induce you both to actually take the time to verify whether, or not, your beliefs concerning 9/11 are correct and viable. You cannot do this without going through the physical evidence alluded to before, and, to date, I am certain that you have not done this with much deliberation … if at all.

Secondly, as long as your opinions concerning 9/11 are critically and factually uninformed, you are not really in any position to make sound judgments concerning the present situation vis-à-vis Cordoba House aka Park51, or the so-called Ground Zero Mosque. Pressure is mounting for you and the other stakeholders of SoHo Properties to acquiesce to the demands of many Americans that you should be willing to move your project to another, less sensitive, less problematic location.

Unfortunately, almost everyone is arguing about the wrong principles with respect to the foregoing controversy. The central issue is not about First Amendment rights, nor is it about the right of Americans to have their sensitivities concerning 9/11 be given proper consideration, nor is it about the rights of 9/11 families to be saved from further insult and injury … although all of these principles are, in their own context, perfectly understandable and not unreasonable.

The real principle at the heart of the ‘Cordoba House’ controversy is the elephant in the room that no one wants to talk about. The elephant is named “Truth and Justice”, and it is the visibly invisible ghost of 9/11. Three thousand innocents – both Americans and foreign nationals – were assassinated on 9/11. Then, when there was a rush to judgment by all too many people who should have known better, the tragedy of 9/11 led to the further slaughter of tens of thousands of more innocents in Iraq and Afghanistan, along with tens of thousands more who have been maimed for life – both American and non-American and both Muslim and non-Muslim.

The families of 9/11 victims have been betrayed. The people of America have been betrayed. The soldiers of America have been betrayed. The people of Iraq and Afghanistan have been betrayed. Truth and justice have been betrayed.

How can you or the other stakeholders of SoHo Properties reach an equitable resolution with respect to the Cordoba House controversy when the whole brouhaha is predicated on misinformation and ignorance concerning the facts of the matter of 9/11? Your present controversy cannot be properly resolved, America’s 9/11 wounds cannot be adequately healed, and the tremendous injustices inflicted on Iraq and Afghanistan cannot be adequately addressed until the truth about 9/11 is established.

Mark Twain once said: “The trouble with the world is not that people know too little, it’s that they know so many things that aren’t so.” No truer words have ever been said about people’s ideas and opinions concerning 9/11.

If 9/11 families and the people of America want their concerns and sensitivities properly taken into consideration with respect to the Cordoba House project, then, they need to reciprocate and take steps to ensure that what they believe to have happened on 9/11 actually took place in the way that the official story claims. For, if things concerning 9/11 are other than they are officially framed to be, the 9/11 families and the people of America will need to adopt an entirely different set of concerns and sensitivities with respect to 9/11.

If anyone would like to interject at this point that the facts of 9/11 already have been established, then, they haven’t been paying attention. Anyone who has not gone through: The 9/11 Commission Report, the NIST reports, The Pentagon Performance Report, as well as listened carefully to the testimony of all of the people I have listed earlier (and many others could be added to that list) and who were prevented (either actively or passively) from testifying before the 9/11 Commission – such a person really has no idea of what may, or may not, have taken place on 9/11.

The understanding of such an individual concerning the physical facts of 9/11 has been provided for them through something other than their own due diligence. Anyone who is honest about this issue will admit as much.

Feisal and Daisy, you, and others at SoHo Properties, have an unprecedented opportunity to do great service to both truth and justice, as well as to the 9/11 families, the rest of America, democracy, and the peoples of Iraq and Afghanistan. Actually, there is no one else on the face of the earth at the present time who has the same chance as you now possess to ensure that the right thing is done with respect to so many principles and people.

This opportunity may never come again. You have a chance to do what no one else has been able to achieve with respect to 9/11 -- namely, seek a new investigation into 9/11 that is objective, rigorous, independent, thorough, and capable of generating results which are actually able to reflect the full set of existing data concerning 9/11 … something which has not, yet, happened through: the government, the media, academia, or any of the organizations which officially have been linked to the supposed official investigation into 9/11.

As an act of good faith, I feel you should be willing to move your Cordoba House project to another location. However, in exchange for your act of good faith you should require a reciprocal act of good faith – an agreement to establish (through state and/or federal grand juries) an exhaustive exploration into 9/11.

In fact, since David Patterson, the governor of New York, has graciously offered to help you find a suitable but alternative location for the Cordoba House project, I propose that David Patterson also has the authority to ensure that an appropriately unbiased grand jury of New Yorkers be convened for the purposes of investigating the murders of 9/11 – just like any other murders that have occurred, or will occur, on New York State soil. The Office of David Patterson would be a natural bridge through which both sides of the offered good faith might meet and reach a just and equitable resolution to the current controversy.

I have confidence in the American people. Moreover, the great work that state and federal grand juries do at least five days a week all across America in helping to protect democracy demonstrates that my faith in the American people is justified.

If a group of average Americans is permitted to investigate 9/11 via a grand jury format and follow the evidence wherever it takes them and subpoena power permits, I believe that the results of such an investigation will be fair and impartial. I believe that when they consider all the relevant evidence they will arrive at a judicious conclusion concerning 9/11.

However, this challenge must be under the full authority of the people of America, not the government. Let the people fulfill the purposes for which grand juries were originally established as the last bastion of defense against forces of tyranny and injustice that are capable of undermining democracy and freedom.

If you have the foresight to adopt and realize the proposal I am making concerning the exchange of location for a proper investigation into 9/11, the entire world will owe you a debt of gratitude. If you have the courage to adopt and realize the proposal I am making, the whole purpose of Cordoba House would have been fulfilled before it was even built.

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says Western media hyped the September 11, 2001 attacks to pave the way for the US-led invasion of Afghanistan and Iraq.

"What was the story behind September 11? In the space of five to six days, and with the aid of the media, they swayed public opinion to the point of considering an attack on Afghanistan and Iraq permissible and a right [for themselves]," he said in a televised speech.

The president went on to add that while 3,000 deaths had been announced, no report containing the names of these victims had been released.

"Presently, more than 110,000 people [have been killed] in Afghanistan and over one million people have been killed across Iraq. But they will not allow [the figures to be made public]. How? [By] using media and fabricated news," he was quoted by IRIB as saying.

The Iranian president made the remarks on Saturday at a ceremony in Tehran marking the eve of the National Press Day.

Ahmadinejad said Western media had enabled the US to mount its campaign against Iran's nuclear program.

He said that the media had helped the US which has amassed thousands of Atomic bombs to claim another country might move towards building an A-bomb.

Tehran argues that as a signatory to the Nuclear Non-Proliferation Treaty and a member of the International Atomic Energy Agency it has the right to peaceful nuclear technology.

Dr. Salah Soltan Supports 9/11 Truth

Citing the thoroughly debunked, official account of 9/11 as gospel, anti-Muslim bigots and opportunists rally around opposition to an Islamic Center near Ground Zero

Following the events of September 11, 2001, Muslims in the U.S. had reason to fear the U.S. government. Nine years on, the failure of Muslim leaders to make a concerted, united effort to expose the false account of 9/11 put forth by the U.S. government is inexcusable.

Earlier this year, the Guardian (UK) reported:

in the immediate aftermath of 9/11 the US government undertook the "preventative detention" of about 5,000 men on the basis of their birthplace and later sought a further 19,000 "voluntary interviews". Over the next year, more than 170,000 men from 24 predominantly Muslim countries and North Korea were fingerprinted and interviewed in a programme of "special registration". None of these produced a single terrorism conviction.

Muslims were hauled away by the government to places unknown. They were not informed of the charges against them, had no idea when they would be released, and were not given access to lawyers. Several Muslim charities were raided, their offices shut down, and officers imprisoned.

The Orwellian named Patriot Act had destroyed habeas corpus. U.S. District Judge John Gleeson had "ruled that it is constitutionally permissible to round up foreign nationals on immigration charges based solely on their race, religion or country of origin. What's more, he said they can be detained indefinitely, even after they have agreed to be removed to their home countries" wrote David Cole, law professor at Georgetown University.

While the George W. Bush administration was rounding up Muslims, and launching attacks on Afghanistan and Iraq, president Bush, Jews and Christians spoke out against associating Islam with 9/11.

Since then, while the evidence against the official account of 9/11 has grown, so have attacks on Muslims and Islam, but Muslim "leaders" aren't using their trump card -- the false account of 9/11, to fight back.

Anti-Muslim bigots and political opportunists have rallied around opposition to the Islamic Center planned near Ground Zero -- the site of the World Trade Center attacks.

Former Republican candidate for vice president Sarah Palin, candidates for 2010 elections, right-wing news media, and the Anti-defamation League (ADL) have jumped on the bandwagon.

Mosques are being vandalized, and the construction of new mosques opposed.

If Muslim "leaders" were to fight back by denouncing the official account of 9/11 as patently false, they would find many Americans supporting their effort.

The number of Americans who do not believe the official account of 9/11 is increasing

Nine years on, there's overwhelming evidence that the official account of 9/11 is false, and a significant number of Americans do not believe "The 9/11 Commission Report".

These include 220 senior military, intelligence, law enforcement, and government personnel; 1200 architects and engineers; 250 pilots and aviation personnel; 400 professors; 300 survivors of 9/11; firefighters, and their numbers keep increasing.

"A poll taken by World Public Opinion, a collaborative project of research centers in various countries managed by the Program on International Policy Attitudes at the University of Maryland, College Park, polled 16,063 people in 17 nations outside of the United States during the summer of 2008. They found that majorities in only 9 of the 17 countries believe Al Qaeda carried out the attacks."

In November 2007 Scripps Howard survey found that 32% believed it was "very likely", and 30% believed that it was "somewhat likely" that "some people in the federal government had specific warnings of the 9/11 attacks in New York and Washington, but chose to ignore those warnings."

On August 30, 2004, Zogby International, an independent U.S. polling company, reported half (49.3%) of New York City residents and 41% of New York citizens overall say that some of our leaders "knew in advance that attacks were planned on or around September 11, 2001, and that they consciously failed to act," according to the poll conducted by Zogby International.

On May 24, 2006, Zogby reported that 42% believe "believe the government and 9/11 Commission are covering up", and 44% "believe President Bush exploited the 9/11 attacks (44%) or justified an attack on Iraq (44%). 43% were "not aware of World Trade Center Building 7's collapse", and 45% believe the "government should reinvestigate the attacks".

There are dozens of books exposing the false account of 9/11 -- books by Professor of Philosophy of Religion and Theology, David Ray Griffin, are highly recommended to those who have the patience to digest the wealth of information he makes available.

Easier to digest is the 80-page "9/11 Unveiled" which is a free download -- for sources, photos, videos, referred to in "9/11 Unveiled" go to The Wisdom Fund website.

Paralyzed by fear, Muslim 'leaders' silent on 9/11

Despite the widespread skepticism voiced by non-Muslims, Muslim "leaders" remain silent about 9/11. They refuse even to examine the facts about 9/11, and silence discussion of those facts by members of their organization.

Their silence implies agreement with the official account of 9/11 -- now thoroughly debunked by engineers, architects, pilots, and others.

These silent Muslim "leaders" include officials of the Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR), Islamic Society of North America (ISNA), Muslim Public Affairs Council (MPAC) -- the organizations most often cited by establishment news media.

As far as we know, no Muslim "leader" who came with the Obama administration, or who has been funded by the Obama administration, or whose articles appear in establishment newspapers such as the Washington Post, has criticized the official account of 9/11.

Interfaith organizations in which Muslims participate have remained silent -- the truth about 9/11 would drastically change the tone and substance of their dialogue.

There are, however, exceptions. Kevin Barrett's radio show hosts outspoken critics of the official account of 9/11. Several African-American, Muslim leaders have criticized the official account.

In stark contrast with U.S. Muslim "leaders", Muslims in South Africa invited me on a 3-week, 9/11 lecture tour where they arranged radio interviews, a television interview broadcast to 20 plus countries, and for me to speak to audiences of hundreds daily in 11 cities in South Africa, and in two cities in Malawi.

A similar effort by U.S. Muslim organizations in support of the "9/11 truth" movement may have quashed, or at least diminished, the anti-Islam hysteria prevalent today.

Ground Zero Islamic Center controversy -- a unique opportunity lost

The controversy over the $100 million Islamic Center being developed by the Cordoba Initiative and the American Society for Muslim Advancement near "Ground Zero" in New York -- now called Park51 -- is a unique opportunity for Muslims to speak out on 9/11, but there's no evidence that Muslim "leaders" will do so.

Despite the repeated use of 9/11 by opponents of the Islamic Center, no leader of a major Muslim organization has argued that there's hard evidence to refute the official account -- 19 Arab hijackers led by Osama bin Laden did not carry out the attacks of 9/11.

The evidence against Bin Laden and al-Qaeda promised by then Secretary of State Colin Powell on NBC's Meet the Press, September 23, 2001, has yet to be made available to the public. The Osama bin Laden poster at the FBI website, does not claim that bin Laden was responsible for 9/11.

The Cordoba Initiative (founded 2004) last filed an IRS Form 990 in 2008 showing revenues $0, expenses $2767, and net assets of $18,255. The American Society for Muslim Advancement (founded 1998) has apparently never filed an IRS Form 990.

Officials of the Cordoba Initiative and the American Society for Muslim Advancement will need millions in donations to build the center. Their position on 9/11 is most likely to reflect the position of their donors.

Don't expect them to denounce the official account of 9/11.

ADAMS Center officials say they 'cannot legally provide a platform' for discussion of 9/11

The Washington DC area is home to the All Dulles Area Muslim Society (ADAMS); its influence extends well outside the area.

A recent exchange of emails with officials at ADAMS is an example of the pervasive fear among Muslim "leaders" to speak out, or even be seen to provide a platform for others who speak out against the official account of 9/11.

Excerpts from the first email exchange:

EM: But isn't it also our duty to stand for truth and justice even when it may involve some personal risk? Unfortunately, when it comes to the biggest issue of our time (9/11), it appears that Muslim "leaders" are unwilling to speak out. They are unwilling to even discuss the facts with fellow Muslims.
ADAMS: . . . the time and place to discuss 9/11 is through political dialogues like these. While Virginia Delegates have little impact on U.S. national policy, they are responsible for legislation and regulation in Virginia that can and will affect our community . . . If you see our duty as being involved in these issues, why are you not signing up to attend this event?

Excerpts from the second email exchange:

EM: I've been trying to get ADAMS to discuss 9/11 for quite some time, and keep hitting a brick wall. I believe that the official account of 9/11 is false. I've been told that ADAMS does not permit political discussion, and I have stopped using the ADAMS list to try to express my views on the subject.
ADAMS: Thank you for clarifying what you meant. . . . As a 501(c)(3) organization, ADAMS can organize or implement only those kind of political discussions that are non-partisan, . . . programs that are patently partisan would violate our legal status. Your message makes clear your strong partisan views about 9/11. It is your right to hold and promote such views. But all religious organizations are legally obliged to remain non-partisan, and to mount political outreach events only for the education of our community. . . . ADAMS therefore cannot legally provide a platform to promote personal and politicized views.

Excerpts from the third email exchange:

EM: I believe ADAMS misunderstands the role of 501(c)(3) corporations. Non-partisan means not supporting a particular candidate. A 501(c)(3) corporation may hold and expound views on any issue. The Wisdom Fund is a 501(c)(3) corporation, established in 1995, . . . as examples of public expression: (1) our quarter page advertisement in the Obama inaugural issue of the Washington Times -- (bottom right), enlarged; (2) letter to the president, attorney general, etc. How can ADAMS claim to lead, and not take a position on the biggest issue of this decade -- 9/11?
ADAMS: I have tried to rationally explain our position; it is clear you are not open to any position but your own. I have greeted you as a brother but your responses make clear you do not reciprocate that approach. I pray that Allah (SWT) will bless and guide you to the right path, and grant you Wisdom. Please do not respond to this e-mail. I will delete any further messages from you unread.

To summarize, ADAMS invited me to attend their dialogue with "Virginia Delegates" scheduled for July 28, then they claimed that they could not "legally provide a platform" for my views on 9/11. When I informed them that a 501(c)(3) corporation may legally voice its views -- it may not support a candidate for office, ADAMS terminated the discussion.

ADAMS is not alone in shying away from 9/11.

Mosques across America have similar policies. Several invitations that I received to talk on 9/11 were cancelled after they were issued and accepted -- including two attended by officials and imams from majority Muslim countries.

America's foreign policy establishment created the Islamic threat to advance its interests

On August 27, 1992, Leon T. Hadar, a former bureau chief for the Jerusalem Post, and an adjunct scholar of the Cato Institute, wrote in "The 'Green Peril': Creating the Islamic Fundamentalist Threat":

Now that the Cold War is becoming a memory, America's foreign policy establishment has begun searching for new enemies. . . . Topping the list of potential new global bogeymen, however, are the Yellow Peril, the alleged threat to American economic security emanating from East Asia, and the so-called Green Peril (green is the color of Islam). . . .
George Will even suggested that the 1,000-year battle between Christendom and Islam might be breaking out . . .
Indeed, "a new specter is haunting America, one that some Americans consider more sinister than Marxism-Leninism," according to Douglas E. Streusand. . . .
"Islamic fundamentalism is an aggressive revolutionary movement as militant and violent as the Bolshevik, Fascist, and Nazi movements of the past," according to Amos Perlmutter.

In 1997, former National Security Advisor to President Carter, Zbigniew Brzezinski, wrote in "The Grand Chessboard":

A power that dominates Eurasia [the territory east of Germany and Poland, stretching all the way through Russia and China to the Pacific Ocean -- including the Middle East and most of the Indian subcontinent] would control two of the world's three most advanced and economically productive regions. A mere glance at the map also suggests that control over Eurasia would almost automatically entail Africa's subordination, rendering the Western Hemisphere and Oceania geopolitically peripheral to the world's central continent. About 75 per cent of the world's people live in Eurasia, and most of the world's physical wealth is there as well, both in its enterprises and underneath its soil. Eurasia accounts for 60 per cent of the world's GNP and about three-fourths of the world's known energy resources.

The key to controlling Eurasia, said Brzezinski, is controlling the Central Asian Republics.

In the September 2000 report, Rebuilding America's Defenses, the neocon funded Project for the New American Century (PNAC) stated:

America's global leadership, and its role as the guarantor of the current great-power peace, relies upon the safety of the American homeland; the preservation of a favorable balance of power in Europe, the Middle East and surrounding energy producing region, and East Asia . . .
A transformation strategy that solely pursued capabilities for projecting force from the United States, for example, and sacrificed forward basing and presence, would be at odds with larger American policy goals and would trouble American allies.
Further, the process of transformation, even if it brings revolutionary change, is likely to be a long one, absent some catastrophic and catalyzing event -- like a new Pearl Harbor.

9/11, many now believe, was the new Pearl Harbor, the pretext for the U.S. "war on terror", a cover for advancing perceived American interests.

In fact the "war on terror", and the search for nonexistent weapons of mass destruction, have brought the U.S. economy to the brink of collapse, and has caused a massive shift of wealth from poor and middle-class Americans to the wealthiest few.

The silence of Muslim 'leaders' is inexcusable, risks driving some to violence

The 9/11 Commission investigation (November 27, 2002 -- August 21, 2004) was flawed from the outset. It was set up despite strong resistance from the White House.

By March 2003, with the commission's staff barely in place, two men (Philip Zelikow, Executive Director, The 9/11 Commission, and Ernest R. May, a Harvard historian) had prepared a detailed outline, complete with "chapter headings, subheadings, and sub-subheadings" of the final report according to New York Times reporter Philip Shenon.

Zelikow served on the National Security Council under George H. W. Bush, on the George W. Bush transition team, and President's Foreign Intelligence Advisory Board. He coauthored a book with President Bush's National Security Advisor Condoleeza Rice.

Zelikow controlled the 9/11 Commission's access to witnesses. Testimony that did not support the official account was excluded from "The 9/11 Commission Report".

For American Muslims, whose faith commands them to strive for social justice -- "the first pillar of Islam", and to "seek knowledge even unto China", blind acceptance of the official account of 9/11 is deplorable.

For Muslim "leaders", blind acceptance of the official account of 9/11, and their failure to denounce it, is inexcusable.

The renowned Indian, poet-philosopher Allama Iqbal (1877-1938), in his famous Shikwa & Jawab-i-Shikwa (Man's Complaint and God's Answer), wrote (translated from Urdu by Indian journalist-author Khushwant Singh):

With reason as your shield and
the sword of love in your hand,
Servant of God!
the leadership of the world
is at your command.

Excluding opposing views risks driving some to express themselves in a more violent manner.

The question is, whose purpose has 9/11 served? As Muslims, I think we need to have a serious soul-searching, an intelligent debate on the reasoning behind acts of violence, acts of senseless violence being perpetrated around the world in the name of Islam and in the service of Muslims. And of course the most recent being the tragedy of Beslan. I say this while recognizing that yes, thousands of Muslims, in fact, 100,000 Muslims were massacred in Chechnya, of which around 40,000 were children.

I use the word senseless on two counts -- first, the overwhelming fiqh arguments against such actions. But apart from that, if one looks from a purely tactical perspective, we can find that it is persistently counterproductive. In fact, this course of action is precisely what Benjamin Netanyahu and other Israelis are delighted to hear about. On the 12th of September 2001, when Netanyahu was asked about what he thought about the 9/11 attacks, he responded, and I quote, "It's very good." Yes, this is what he said; he said that it was very good. Now, obviously, he didn't stop there, he said, "oh, well, it's not very good, but it will generate immediate sympathy" (for Israel). The reporter understood what he was saying. He read his emotion, and reported it exactly as he had said it, and it was published in the New York Times.

We also know of the confirmed stories of the Israelis in New York who were arrested for dancing and celebrating on the rooftops when the planes hit the building. They celebrated because they knew how much this would serve the cause of Israel.

This kind of strategic thinking is not new. In fact, right-wing military generals in the United States Army are historically infamous for seeking this kind of action. These actions are known as pretext operations. We need to read the history of these people, to learn about the depravity of their thinking, before allowing ourselves to be used, indirectly or directly, within or for their grand and vicious plans.

There is authenticated documented evidence confirming that the US military High Command had not only recognized the benefit of this kind of attack on America decades ago, but at one point they drew up detailed plans to conduct terrorist campaigns on American citizens in order to justify the invasion of another country. Now before people put their "conspiracy theory" earplugs and blindfolds on, please allow me to point out that what I'm saying and what I'm about to say here is not based on ignorant paranoia, hearsay and unproven conspiracy; rather it is based on published declassified and authenticated documents; documents that confirmed that the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the United States Army, General Lemnitzer, approved a plan code-named Operation Northwoods; during the stand-off with Cuba Operation Northwoods was conceived.

The plan was approved by every member of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. It called for innocent people to be shot on American streets, of boats carrying refugees fleeing Cuba to be sunk on the high seas, and for a wave of violent terrorism to be launched in Washington, D.C., Miami, and elsewhere. It called for the framing of people for bombings they did not commit, and for planes to be "hijacked" using phony evidence to blame Fidel Castro, in order to give General Lemnitzer and his colleagues the excuse as well as the public and international backing they needed to launch their war against Cuba.

One idea seriously considered involved the launch of John Glenn, the first American to orbit the earth. He was going up in a rocket. And their proposal was that the rocket should explode and kill John Glenn. And I quote here: "The objective is to provide irrevocable proof that the fault lies with the Communists in Cuba." And Lemnitzer explained that this would be accomplished by manufacturing various pieces of evidence which would prove electronic interference on the part of the Cubans.

They proposed that, and I quote again, "We could blow up a US ship in Guantanamo Bay and blame Cuba." And they also explained that the casualty lists in US newspapers would cause "a useful wave of national indignation." "We could develop a Communist Cuban terror campaign in the Miami area, in other Florida cities, and even in Washington," they wrote. "The terror campaign could be pointed at Cuban refugees seeking haven in the United States, exploding a few plastic explosive bombs at carefully chosen spots. The arrest of Cuban agents and the release of carefully-prepared documents substantiating Cuban involvement also would be helpful in projecting the idea of an irresponsible government. Hijacking attempts against civil air and surface craft could appear to continue as harassing measures condoned by the government of Cuba." (End of transcript of Part 1)
